Just like srsa was to the 04s lp elite will be the same to the 05s.

So much for this elite '05 Pulp team who was supposed to be playing "middle of the pack" '04 teams and "was going to win each game by at least 3 goals". Let's see, in 2 games, only scored 1 goal against a LHGCL D3 team and was shut out by a top-15 D1 team. And they are supposed to be the "elite" of the '05s?? Wow. Pretty weak bunch, if you ask me, at least compared to the '04s, a year ago. They may have had a few decent games against other top-5 D1 04s, but that was the past. Looks like the team may have regressed or a year under the belt in LHGCL for all the '04s have set them apart against a top '05 team who wants to run their mouth. Oh, good luck in QT

In fairness I don't think the solar parents were talking smack. What's funny was they were being called scardy cats by other 05 parents. So since I've called all of their games correct I'll call the rest...just for you orbit. Fcd v solar probably a draw but no more than 1 goal difference, could go either way. They will beat kicks but won't be a blowout either.

overall comment: wish Pulp and Adames were here...will be interesting to see how the move to FCD is working out for Baker
game to watch:  LCFA Elite v Sting Diaz

UPDATE:  Looks like FCD Baker is, in fact, downtrending....scoreless all tourney.  LP Elite v Diaz did not disappoint...was definitely the game to watch....should make the 1-4 seeding decision interesting.

Plat B -
overall comment:  we will also finally get to see just who FWFC White is
game to watch:  D'Feeters v FCD Premier

UPDATE:  FWFC White shows they belong in Top 10 conversation.

overall comment:  this is where I think you might find the darkhorse(s) of the bunch...FCD Blue Ring might be outclassed here

overall comment:  after getting bruised up in UAL Plat, Sting Scarfone might find parity here
Game to Watch:  Athletic Dallas v Sting Parsons

UPDATE:  Sting Scarfone finishes middle of the pack and finds parity.  NTFC does not give up a goal all tourney.  Athletic Dallas and Parsons surprisingly finish at the bottom of the bracket....did not see that coming.

MOST OVERRANKED: tie Andromeda Rundell & Sting E Gray -- Plat B

UPDATE:  Absolutely.  As predicted, Sting E Gray and Andromeda take 4th and 5th in their brackets.  Both manage only 1 goal all tourney.

Curious to see what the "experts" predictions are now that tut and puma are over. What 46 teams will play and what do think will be the rankings?

Did Puma really matter?? What was more impressive....#2 vs #4 battling it out at King Tut...or Texans South (pretend #3) playing '04 teams ranked #90 Texas Shock FC, #72 Vortex FC, #39 Texas Lightning and in a nail-biting final beating #49 America FC. Who has ever heard of the these clubs?? Well done Texans South....congrats on avoiding the real competition. You are a true Champion!!

Good luck trying to seed these teams. I tried to do some seeding and after about 9 I think you can put them all in a hat.

My top ten are:
1. Solar Pulp - wish they would have played 05s this weekend but they've proven to be the top team
2. LP elite -had a good showing this weekend, hot at the right time
3. Sting D - lost to 1 & 2 recently but still one of the best no doubt.
4. DTS - too good a team to drop any lower but no reward for playing those teams in the Puma.
5. Solar east - looked good from what I saw this weekend. Definitely a team to watch.

Those teams I feel are just a little bit better than the rest. The next group can hang with the top 5, just need a bit more consistency.

6 Dallas rush - dropping out might actually cause them to drop more but not a ton of no brainers to jump above them.
7. Dfeeters - won their pool so I'll give them this spot
8. Fcd elite - probably as good a weekend as could be expected. Got to test themselves against 3 of the top 5 teams. Proved they belonged in Platinum A, just a notch below the top 5 right now.
9. FWFC - good showing, didn't hurt themselves at all.

After that it's a total crap shoot and all depends on which games the LHs folks watched for each team.

I guess I understand the dogpiling by all of you 04 parents but I don't think anyone on here ever said that Solar Pulp '05 was the next LP Elite '04.  FOD, you calling them a weak bunch is just plain stupid.  Over the last couple of months they proved that they were the #1 '05 team and they used King Tut to get ready for this week and not kill themselves keeping hold of the top seed.  Can you blame them?  At least they played in the tournament.  Other teams chose not to.

I hope this is all in fun, but are you guys or gals really calling out 10-11 year old girls? Saying that they're scared or running away from competition; like they have a say-so in the matter of who they play. Just let them play. Quit playing through them. If you were any good, we'd all be seeing you on MLS, Gold Cup, or World Cup. Let their play do their talking and not the parents. Enjoy this time with your kids, and not put down someone else's.
