Looking over a longer time horizon (say April to the present), FCD Elite (aka Gerrard, aka LP Premier) has scored 0 or 1 goals per game 88% of the time (12 out of the last 17 games)....and one of the two the multi-goal games was against USA Soccer Academy.
The data doesn't lie...
12 out of 17 is not 88%.
70% maybe.
If a train leaves Kansas City headed to Dallas at 12:00 and travels at 70 mph, While another train leaves shreveport at 11:00 and travels at 60 mph.....which one will get there first?

:::Insuff Data:::
12:00 AM or PM?
11:00 AM or PM?
Any stops along the way?
Where is the Shreveport train headed?

You can pick and choose what ever data best fits your desired outcome.....that's how this board works.

Apparently not the train with FCD Elite on it (totally not hating, just couldn't resist)...

By the way, anyone else enjoy the language on the LH note to Select parents? Something to the effect that questioning/yelling at the official NEVER EVER helps. I particularly appreciated the all caps. Yeah, like that's going to stop us.
So, good luck to all the officials this weekend, as well. And don't take it too personally when we break the above rule . . . because we will. We don't hate you; we just resent that you have so much power and are choosing to use it for evil (i.e. not serving our purposes).

Re: 05 LHQT bracket analysis
Honestly, you will see good and bad refs in LH.
You will see refs overrule a linesman on offside from 50' away. You will see linemen unable to run the side (and refs who can't move out of the circle). You will have refs who refuse to call a foul or pull a card. You will have refs who make up their own rules. You will have refs / linesman watch a clearly bad throw-in, but let it go "because they are learning". You will have refs who give a foul every time a small kid bounces off a big kid - but won't call forearms to the head or throat, or a 2-handed jersey pull from behind on a breakaway.
And you will have refs and linesmen that you wish you could have every weekend. When you do, take 2 minutes to go and thank them for a well-called game.

I think coaches should be able to run out and kick dirt at refs feet before they are kicked out.

nortexmaker wrote:First off, I genuflect to BW Gophers' final (say it isn't so!) FBR by getting 41/46 (90%) within 2 seeds of the LHQT seeding. If you pick stocks too, sir, I'd like to see your portfolio!
Second, here are some observations from the bracket:
Highest Seed on Upset Alert:
==> FCD Elite. Sting Parsons is used to Plat competition and I am still not convinced FCD Elite can score goals. Could come down to a 0-0 draw and the goal differential tiebreaker could favor Parsons.
Team With the Most Legitimate Beef:
==> Athletic Dallas. Not a meteoric fall from grace, but somewhat punitive based on a weak weekend in Tut Gold B. They were #16 one month ago.
Team That Should be Thanking Their Lucky Stars:
==> Sting Scarfone. Not that playing Rush will be fun and fruitful for them, but getting a Top 20 seed after winning only one match of their last 6, they should count their lucky stars.
Team Most Likely to Be #1 Overall Seed for Round 2:
==> Mustangs. They can score in a hurry...and often. Not enough to overtake FWFC White, but enough to lock up pole position for Round 2.
Team Most Likely to Be #1 in D3:
==> NTFC Green. Their goal scoring drought is coming at the worst time possible.
Who said fcd elite can't score?!?! Knocked out 10 goals tonight.

Some douchebag had FCD White as #24. Messed up all my picks.

Re: 05 LHQT bracket analysis
DT South Red didn't get the win but a tie against Sting West West - a team everyone seems to think is really good - is a decent result.
NTFC Green is in trouble. And so is Sting Parsons. Interesting first night.
