04 Plano Labor Day Tournament 2015

I'd like to learn more about what you mean by LH structure? I think I understand if you're saying that North Texas is somewhat alone in having 11v11 at this age group (but I'm no expert) but I thought grade pure instead of age pure was universal throughout the USA.

Regarding LH I get that all the top players will gravitate to the top competitive league and all other teams and leagues will fall in line trying to compete with that league and those teams.

Just want to make sure I'm on the same page or if I've misunderstood.

I don't understand why LH didn't let Elite 04 take the bye that Keegan took last year.

I think because Keegan maintained 75% when jumping over to Mutiny.

I wasn't talking about this year. Clearly Keegan wasn't ready for D1 starting Fall '14. Classic Leage should've let the play up last year. They would've at least been as competitive as Keegan.

I feel we're kind of off on a tangent. Any insight on any of the '04 games played this weekend? How did the Qtrs, Semis, and Finals play out?

Got too upset when Elite actually tried to play the ball out from the back? I'm not saying there was kickball out there, just that the kicking prowess of the Elite defense was quite impressive.

I can understand why the fcd parent was so upset for several reasons....

5.) Wasn't this the last and most important game of the season?
4.) He thought Feets uniforms were the ugliest in the league and realized FCD's were just as bad.
3.) He realized that the Elite team playing up wasn't his and they were having to work to win the 04 division.
2.) When he called the ref a POS the ref smiled and said gracia's because of the language barrier.
-The number one reason he was irritated was pure science and happenstance.
1.) Because of the time of day and the angle of the sun, the rays bounced off of both LW and JK's bald heads and triangulated straight into his eyes, causing a highly irrational mental breakdown.

Great tournament! No shame for us in losing to FCD Elite in the semifinals, a very good and disciplined team. They were fun to watch, even if it didn't go our way...! Thanks for having us and hope to see a lot of your teams again in pre-ECNL events later this Fall!

Currently home sick recovering from those awesome hotdogs at the games. But big thanks to fcd elite for tAking down the ok parents. At least they paid another night stay in Texas with hopeful dreams of actually thinking they may win it this year

Your premise was - there is a gap

So, I will end my comments here and make my point more concise.


Your gapped teeth got kicked by sting west.  and they would do it again.

There is no "gap" between the bottom of DI - which includes TSN - and the top of DII - which includes Sting West

IN MY OPINION - TSN is overrated and Sting West is better than at least 3 teams in DI

Personal attacks aside, and to start, just to keep things honest, TSN was mathematically eliminated. I know that feeds into your argument, but so be it. Here was my original statement, which may have gotten lost in all of the rhetoric: "I get the sense though that some posters on here (and I'm not directing this at you) who are connected with D2 and D3 teams somewhat underestimate the quality of the lower end D1 teams, perhaps feeling that they are on par with them when that gap is actually a bit wider at this point than they may think IMO. I'm speaking in general terms. I know there will likely be an exception or two that this season will reveal and PLD may give us an early glimpse of.." This was just my opinion, which most on here regularly share, so what was so inflammatory about my opinion that you should get so butt hurt? You cite a one game preseason tournament result to make your case for a possible exception that I acknowledged will likely happen - ok, nicely played...lol You're making it personal between TSN and Sting West, not sure why. Sting West is a very good team whom we respect, but not sure how losing 4-3 can be characterized as getting "kicked". Also aren't you being a bit presumptive placing them at the top of D2 already when this season has barely gotten started? I would think their focus right now is on trying to beat, or a tie is good I guess, those D1 teams from last year who were relegated to D2. Anyway, enough of beating this dead horse... I wish your team, whoever they might be, a successful season so that you may feel so inclined as to rekindle this spirited debate at some future date.

Nice jab jib. Would much rather have been out in the sun though, but for our kid's sake it was probably better they weren't. 3 games in 26 hrs. with 13 players (12 in the third game) was enough of a beast. Don't think there'll be any complaints about playing time from our kids this season. lol
