Orange for Ellie - supporting a local soccer player with ALL

Ellie Slate is a vibrant 11 year old soccer player that will be attending Dowell Middle School in McKinney. She was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Her many friends describe Ellie as "always really nice to everyone", a great soccer player and a fun-loving girl.  She is currently the goalie for FC Dallas 04G Premier.

Various organizations have come together to help Ellie and her family fight cancer, and assist them in her recovery process.  Please help a soccer player and her family by participating in the activity(s) below.  Also, if you are involved in one of these or other activities, feel free to add additional information.


Run for Ellie 5K and Fun Run

Run for Ellie 5K and Fun Run is OPEN for Registration!!! So, please join us by running, walking or crawling to the finish line in either the 5K or Fun Run on October 10th 8 a.m. at Dowell Middle in McKinney. I know this little one personally, and we are definitely doing what we can to support her and her family. She has a great smile and a sweet heart.

We have been wearing the orange t shirts and bracelets in support. This small gesture means the world to this little doll.
