WHO IS SOLAR RED?

Is Solar Red actually a team? I know they used to be, but are they now?

The last I saw of them as a team was 2013 coached by Adrian and Derek M

I would think that the closest thing to Solar Red would be Solar ECNL...but I dont know how many of those players are still there.

I am so confused by their names, is Solar Red the top team in Solar?

What about the famous SRSA 03? What does SRSA stand for?

Solca (Adrian Solca) Red Soccer Association while club soccer.
Solar Red Soccer Association when select.

Not sure once it hits ECNL.

Not saying anything that you can't easily ascertain, but the Got Soccer acct is the old version of what is now Solar ECNL. They don't have history except the ecnl stuff in the past few years...and some of their players are the ones on the ecnl roster. Nostalgic in your Fever buckle??

Solar Red was the team that became the ECNL team, Solar Shaw left for D'Feeters, and Liverpool Pulp eventually became Solar Elite- the top LH team. Once Solar Red could not be reconstituted in LH D1, the team should no longer have existed.

Are you guys saying that a Solar Red team and roster still exists? Is it still active?. Is that how Solar Elite got so many extra players this season?

Spit it out, quit pussy-footing around--tell us what you know or at least what you think! Is it an active roster?? Is it a technicality around CPP or roster limitations?

It makes me nervous when you can't easily tell what's OLJW is thinking.

Hi Pack, no there isn't a Solar Red (reverse yes Virginia answer).

There is a sting Bruno team that still has players listed too. There was a solar white team that was listed on got soccer forever. Sting Flanagan is listed. I am not saying there isn't something funny going in...and if there is, there needs to be punishment. But, it could be something simple that is a mere oversight. Anyone who has ever tried to log onto got soccer knows the site is difficult to work. I have too many logins to count from various teams. There are charges assigned to marrying accounts, and it is cumbersome.

Again, if there is something nefarious going on, ferret it out and punish the offenders. It should be pretty easy to figure out since got soccer has an easy paper trail...and all of it is listed on that site.

My personal opinion is that it a coach who was doing something like that and jeopardizing his standing (not to mention his salary) would be a complete idiot...but I am often surprised by people's capacity for stupidity.

Well Sting Bruno is no more and the git soccer page should have been demoted and closed. The Solar White 00 page should also be demoted and closed as they went kaput too. All of the teams that no longer exist should be removed From got soccer. The clubs should be the ones to clean up old team pages. Unfortunately that isn't happening.

It could be like the Sting Hilton team where they basically put the ECNL roster out there in Got Soccer so that they can CPP to other teams in the club if they so desire. Not sure though how they consider that roster... is that playing down?

Was the CPP from solar red or solar ecnl?

It's the same. Ecnl is a different entity from Got Soccer. Normally ecnl teams don't put rosters in Got Soccer, but with advent of CPP the player has to be in Got Soccer to be passed to another team in the club.

Can't be from Solar ECNL, Solar ECNL is not register with NTSSA.

Here is what NTSSA has to say about registering teams & GotSoccer.

"NTX Soccer (NTSSA) has selected GotSoccer as the state online registration program. The following manual will outline steps that clubs who register teams through NTSSA Home Associations will need to take to properly create teams, and submit the teams to the Home Association for registration official rosters and ID cards."

That's verbatim, no words added, no words deleted, no words changed. It's a quote. Moving on.

So if GotSoccer is the State Registration program, specifically selected by NTSSA, is it wrong? If it is wrong....why is it wrong?  Seems like the governing body for North Texas Soccer might wanna maybe have some idea about who might possibly be playing with who, where and when?  Maybe?

Don't have a clue what that means... I just know that a large chunk of Hilton ecnl players are on that team in Got Soccer. A large chunk of solar ecnl are on solar red roster. If the player is not in Got Soccer they cannot be CPP'd. They must be in Got Soccer(registered with NTSSA) to get this done. Its just a way to dual roster the players without actually taking up a LH roster spot. It also allows the team to easily enter a USYS soccer tournament without having to pay additional fee for having a US Club soccer roster only.

Ok guys, in order to cpp to another sister team, you have to have an "active" team in LH, not just a roster in gotsoccer. Has anyone played a game against Solar Red this year? Last year? I know conspiracies is a fun game, but this is a major stretch. There are all kinds of "dead" rosters out there if you search. However that doesn't make them a secret method of utilizing players. Sheesh

Ina B that is not correct.  You do not have to be on an active LH team to be CPP'd.  Players from Plano are CPP'd all the time. ECNL players are CPP'd by some clubs also. You just have to be on a roster in Got Soccer (and by extension then registered with NTSSA) to be passed to another team. That is the only way to facilitate the CPP in the system and get the player on your roster. I am not saying they are playing but the roster is there to use. Do they use it I don't know for solar. I am pretty sure Sting does as I've heard the stories of the ecnl players filling in when needed. These players are not on permanent LH rosters but supplement them from the other team. The only way to do it is have the roster out there. Solar red could just be an old roster sitting out there who knows... but in order to CPP the roster must be there.

It's not a secret way of using players... it's the only way to use the players...

Thanks for the information SN. I guess what I was meaning is that both the team using cpp players and the teams providing cpp players both have to be actively playing whether at LH Plano or Arlington, etc. Technically, if a player is a dual rostered player on an ecnl team and another team that ecnl player is eligible to play for a third team as a cpp player. Last year that wasn't always the case from what others said. However, from what is being said here, you believe that there are defunct team rosters being used to shuffle ecnl players around. Sorry that I wasn't clearer.

Btw - after a little research all NTX ECNL teams are in Got Soccer. Maybe something mechanically in the soccer world's system makes this a necessity, but one possible unintended benefit is that you can now CPP these players to other teams if you so desire.

Do I know which clubs do this, no and I don't really care though my opinion is to dance with the one that brung ya...

Ina- not sure why you keep saying solar red is a defunct team. If you look at the history for that team it shows the ECNL finals from July of 2015. This is the ECNL solar team. I don't  think that fact  debatable.

My take is that now with CPP there is no need to dual roster players. They don't need to take up 1 of your 22 spots. Just use CPP to get them on roster each week. There are limits to the # of players but I have never heard how LH looks at these type players? Are they playing down or laterally? Makes a difference to how many you can do in a game.

Dont know why and dont really care. Look at sting Hilton it's the same thing. Why are we debating this one team? All 5 ECNL teams are in Got Soccer. League results don't show but the semis and finals and such do show. Why the defensiveness about this one roster being in Got Soccer??? All 5 ECNL club teams are there if you just go look.

The fact they are there isn't an indictment. They are all there. Do they use it to CPP... again don't know.

Why am I asking questions?

Because I'm hoping someone has some answers. So far, no luck.
