Zizou, I'm not arguing DA is more or less than ECNL. Both are likely equivalent. Just pointing out that it's likely 2x-4x more than staying local. Is it worth it? For me, nah. Not now.

Hey... Not to worry... Didn't you just see the announcement that Fever, City FC, Celtic, and LP joined the Red River Premier League!

Multiple trips to OK, AK, and Kansas to play games in front of 2 or fewer DII and DIII coaches at every game!!!

You don't have to be a part of DA, ECNL, or even Composite/Champions League to join the party! lol!

Does JDL travel? And did JDL do jr ecnl events that were not local this season? The answer is yes. That was u12 so nothing new here.

My DD's JDL team traveled to Houston and Tulsa for a tournament. One per season. Not back and forth 6-10 times for a single game (or two).

So you are paying extra for ODP but not 15k. Thats cool. And dont stick to just Subway. Enjoy a burger every once in a while.

Its not 15k for everyone so they find a way to make it work and for less. There are other big tournaments around the country that seem to suck in teams that like to "play local" and save money. Those arent cheap either. So watch out for them. Coaches like to travel.

The broad brush isnt really always as broad.

I just sit back soccer jack and watch all the stressed out and crazy parents...that's what's priceless the 15K for all the costs for this level.of play it's not worth it from where I sit and my kid could careless she just wants to play soccer.

If a parent can dish out 15k for their dd to play soccer, I don't think "stressed or crazy" is in their vocabulary. I am pretty sure they can also afford a good massage, Bahamas vacation and a trip or two to the shrink to clear their heads.

Stressed and crazy is when someone doesn't have a dd playing DA or ECNL but they keep lamenting and crying about how expensive DA or ECNL is.
