Rumblings in 06 Land

It is not against the rules for teams not to be age pure. It is the JDL league DESIRE that teams be age pure. The only age requirement is a player cannot play unless she has reached proper age for U11.

The rule states:
C. Age Requirements:
1.It is desired that all teams be age pure. That is,
all players on a team should be born on or after January 1 of the appropriate calendar year.
2.Younger players are allowed to play in an older age division with the consent of their coach and parents. However, any player who has not attained the proper age to play Under 11 select soccer may not play up on a competitive (select) team.

He would have preferred to see an African-American woman fighting a Hispanic woman for the ball with an overweight white woman coming in for the tackle. An American Indian in goal, Indian looking for the pass, Asian and Middle-Eastern Women cheering them on (whoops, they should be playing too so someone doesn't think I implied they can't play soccer). Honestly, I probably couldn't field an entire multi-national team without excluding someone so this snowflake would not have been offended, so forget it.

They aren't adding anymore teams to the league. All games are scored a 1-0 win for the opponent.

Why do some teams in the 06 and 07 LHGCL divisions have a -Z after their name?

Those teams have zombies playing for them. Alerts other teams to take the necessary precautions.

I don't think so. Solar Byars 06 had a Z all last year and they were not a JDL team. Maybe it is the teams that bring player pass everyweek......

My point of this post was it is not against the JDL rules not to be age pure.  I cannot find any rule that states an older player cannot play "down" only that any player that is not at least U10 cannot play up.  I will also add that JDL is not really a competitive league so it doesn't really matter.  It's an organization focused on developing players and really just an organized set of friendlies sponsored by the ECNL clubs that pays LH to manage the logistics. The "It is desired...should be born language" is a recommendation not a rule.
