I took my kid to JDL because ern said to-what do I do now?

Any ideas. I was told JDL was going to take over and be the stepping stone to DA. What do I do now?

Don’t you mean the stepping stone for ECNL. JDL was US Club sanctioned. Same governing body that runs ECNL.

I don't care who sanctioned the $hit. It's the same clubs DA or Ecnl behind it and Bige talked me into it. What is little foxy supposed to do now?

Take your kid to DA, because BigE told you to.

It is/was a stepping stone to ECNL/DA...for some kids. If yours wasn’t one of them, plenty of other options. Just not at FCD since that’s all they offer in this age group.

Watered down just like the rest of NTX soccer. Not sure it will strengthen LH most were playing up on teams in-house or lateral not sure of any upside except maybe bump the bench warmers to basket weaving. None of the teams beat anyone significant and lost to several teams under the so called hierarchy from the original business model. A real flop this year w more focus on DA for some. Just no interest for most. Money grab while it was catchy.

Correct, the inaugural DA season reduced the value of a league created to feed ECNL.

Lack of quality spells disaster Zizou number 3. Kids can play at the PSA for much less than a college tuition. Soccer becoming less attractive Zizou marketing bashed the old regime and new layers keep being formed to increase the deep pockets of the CEOs. All I see is lots of people stepping away from the propaganda and sales pitch. Greed will eventually come to haunt people will start saying no.

No, that’s what your not getting is little Sussies parents have plenty of money and will pay whatever to allow her to play for the club and team she desires. This will continue to grow and become much larger over time. I don’t see anyone stepping away. A consolidation of clubs that offer play at all levels is where this ship has been heading for awhile. The past four years with the consolidation of players NTX has seen a massive success rate increase on the national level. It’s funny how we forget that Sting on the women’s side of the game was able to dominate the national level for decades in the past due to a consolidation of women players flocking into the club.

Pride and greed will be your demise Zizou. There way too many other paths out there to get the golden ticket to the promised land.

Yeah, no you are very much so wrong. Their are less options today and less options in the future. Consolidation, remember that word. Consolidation can also be seen as a means to control clubs and the out of control *language edit-shame* coaches popping up all over the metroplex charging. Consolidation may be a means to then put clubs in a position to regulate and hire coaches that are best fit to work with our young ladies.

I don’t see it being all that much different than it was honestly. There was a top 20 in NTx then and there still is now. Instead of the best of the best beating up on everybody else, they have moved to a separate league and play each other. Fever, LP, etc were good teams then and they are good teams now. If your daughter was good enough, she’d be on some of those teams — unless you just choose not to. If that’s the case, what’s there to complain about?

I think the narrowing of options has more to do with player attrition to other sports/activities than it does anything else.
