Unfortunately, the carnival was cancelled due to the weather.
The good news is that the parking lot is open and the porta-potties are clean and ready to go. Some may disagree, but access to public bathrooms is essential to large events.
What?!! This is unacceptable! I am so disappointed we don't get to see the cute and cuddly penguins and a grizzly bear riding a Bugatti motorcycle....You need to make this up to us. I say convert all of your fields to artificial turf so we can try and kill our kids from May-September...we can use the resurfaced parking lot for games while the fields are getting set up...
We always appreciate the humor of new parents. It helps all of us get thru frustrating soccer, field closures, and "bad referees". LOL
Between you confusing a circus with a carnival and Tahoe mom somehow thinking that taking a dump in the parking lot is a good idea (imagine cleaning that out of cleats), it's given us all a good chuckle. Though I must admit the "perking lot" threw us there.
We understand your frustrations. Enjoy the soccer this weekend, as the long-term weather forecasts don't look to be in our favor.
As always, we are working hard to bring the best product possible to your teams.

Nice to see the UTD field “director” (chuckle) has a sense of humor and caught (not really) the “Perk”ing lot pun While not surprising, the “director” continues to obliterate the real customer experience topic of the thread, so how about turf?
We were so disappointed to miss the carnival btw but your comments here do a fine job of replacing the circus experience.
Enjoy directing the perking lot and crapper replacements. That’s definitely going to get you a Sr Director nod and all these calls and emails off your back ;-)

Re: UTD Field Conditions
What most people new to soccer eventually find out, is that most athletes prefer natural fields.
These so-called educated parents will be the first ones to complain about the hotter fields and melted cleats in the summer.
What new parents also fail to realize is that the cost of turf is very prohibitive. Turf fields cost $500,000-$1M each, last 7-10 years, and can cost over $100,000 just for disposal.
We strongly suggest that new parents focus on the enjoyment of the game with their child while they are young, as too many of these kids get burned out around 11 or 12 because of overzealous parents.
We do offer brochures on how to stay positive and help your child to continue to enjoy the game.
Thank you for your concerns!

Yeah playing in the excessive heat is always a good idea. A lot of the soccer complexes are going to having 1-4 turf fields to be used during the winter and rainy months to keep their leagues playing. Complexes have a strict field rotation and plan in place to rest fields.

Re: UTD Field Conditions
We hope you enjoyed your weekend games as the weather does not look favorable for field openings before next week at the earliest.
Please - no emails or calls.
We are now suggesting maybe looking for some indoor leagues.
As always, we will let you know as soon a playing conditions become more favorable.

Re: UTD Field Conditions
Good news - Fields 8, 9 & 10 are open today!
Unfortunately, Field 7 is still closed due to clean-up efforts related to Monday's dog show. We believe we have addressed any issues on the other fields and walk areas, but make sure to double check those kids' cleats before getting in your car.
As always, best of luck to all teams tonight!

When clients dont hold you accountable laziness sets in and you get crap. Theres lots of blame to go around maybe when people quit buying a shoddy product things will change.

As you can tell from the LHGCL FaceBook page, website, and our field condition hotline, there have been no official announcements made regarding any field closures.
We will let you know as soon as a decision has been made.

Whether we open Sunday will depend on rain overnight and whether someone forgets to turn off the sprinklers.
Thank you for your patience.
