Alright! Great job all around. My predictions weren’t too far off and the bonus of one of my sleeper teams who I was pulling for. Keep it up Cedar Stars! Pulled the upset in round 1 today over Players. Also only lost 2-1 to Slammers yesterday.

An all North Texas Final is looking probable at this point!

Cedar Stars is impressing for sure. My DD’s team gave their all in group play trying to make gold bracket but fell short... they had nothing left this morning and gave up 3 goals in the first 5 minutes before waking up. Still proud of our girls this weekend. Good luck to those still playing!

I’ve learned a few things from SuperCopa.

1) The good teams can’t get away with an off game against anybody in the top 100 nationally... teams will get upset no matter who you are if you don’t bring your best.
2) Matchups matter... certain teams matchup better than others.

When one team beats another, sometimes it’s just a matchup issue or one team was just on or off that game... you can’t read into the score too much anymore. There is always a story to the game that the score doesn’t capture.

I agree each team plays differently, this is still my favorite tournament, parking sucked though. Good luck to the rest of the teams in the tournament. See you next year in Oregon....just kidding not sure where it will be.

Lol! Oregon would be sweet. My vote would be Cali next year... I think the tournament struggled to get acceptance from some top teams because teams didn’t like the destination (Dallas haters, haha). Cali would get more teams from different states to make the trip... Texas had 10 teams accepted b/c a lot of invites were declined.

Well the 09s also had 24 teams, last year the 08s had 16

Next years Supercopa destination will be announced tonight at Team parade and members party at Texas Live...Starts tonight at 6pm...Will be a fun time for all the teams and their girls/parents.

Mperez, just be happy you aren’t at a dance recital like me... gotta support all the kid’s passions. If they had an open bar at these dance events, they would sell out in minutes!

The tournament company has picked places where they hold other tournaments. Not sure how big a presence they have in S. Cal. Florida?

LOL, someone from Texas dust posted at the SoCal forum and immediately got belittled. Here you all seem somewhat humbled and positive while in SoCal, the opposite can be said.

I will say one of the parents I have had PMs with from the Slammers Cruz is friendly and appreciative, the parents over there with kids on other teams, not so much.

No offense to anyone here, but I again hope Cedar Stars pulls another upset.If not, I wish the best for the North Texas teams.

Lastly, I have had too much Mezcal this evening and it’s only 8pm here on the East Coast. Cheers!

It will help with the east coast teams. I think they struggled getting them to come out.

Don’t think you will see many Cali teams. I still expect some TX teams though. If PDA Legacy Blue goes, you might as well stay home, trust me on this.

If you think Voutier is good, PDA is much better then Cedar Stars and they just added the best player from Lehigh Valley. They will be #1 for years to come.

I think everyone thinks the best team from their area is the best in the nation.

Region I doesn’t this year. I’m guessing Voutier this year.

But next year, PDA. It’s nothing personal. We don’t play there and aren’t even in the same state. They are already phenomenal and you add a girl who is 5’ 10” and highly skilled playing up top...

Just I have read about Voutier being so good and believed the hype, just keep an eye on PDA moving forward.

I’ll happily admit I am wrong. I have been telling the SoCal parents now for 6 months about Voutier being the best and got nothing but sh— responses. Now they are eating crow (but won’t admit it)

I’m not quite sold that anyone can decide who is the best at this age. I also don’t think you can determine this strictly by results. What I have learned playing against D’Feeters is, they are going to lose eventually, but it won’t be to a team that is “better” than them.

I think you can see from the results in this tournament that teams can come up with tactics to try and steal a game against them. Seeing most of their game yesterday and all of it today, they were most dominant 1-0 games you will see.

I hope the NTX teams competing against them don’t get too caught up in trying to beat them and concentrate on developing their players instead.
