I have a question, if Dalglish only plays against 03s, because they are of course better than ALL 04s, why aren't their game discussions and stuff kept in the 03 thread????? Things that make ya go hhhmmm.

Well, all during SDL we would post the score on the 03 thread, seemed everyone else would bring Dalglish into the mix on the 04 side. Plus, Dalglish is an 04 team

Quit being a b*tch Pitchdad and congratulate the Dalglish girls for representing 04 soccer!
Never once bashed their play, excellent group of players their. I'm asking about the point if posting their stuff here. Simple, and to the point. "Golf clap", good win over the dirty south Daglish!

Congrats to Daglish. Was told they played very aggressive ball and were a very quick group of girls. DT South parent was not happy with how south played and felt it was one of their worst efforts all year, but still credited Dalglish with being very talented for their age. South didn't start playing their ususal sevles until the last 6 minutes I was told, but just couldn't mount enough offense in that time.
I think they are hoping for a rematch in finals...
Again congrats to Dalglish. Certainly a good victory for that group.

Have to disagree there. We (south 04) scrimmage our 03s on a regular basis and they pull no punches on the physical side.
What stinks is that they cancelled the U7 groups!

Re: TFC Jr Blue Cup May 20-22
I will say a couple of things:
First I did expect Dalglish to place as there were only 4 teams, however getting 2nd was a bit better than I expected. I also did not expect them to play Dt South so close in the finals (much less pull off a victory in the preliminaries).
That being said I think we have enough evidence for those of you who believe Dalglish to be the best 04s to make that argument.
However, it seems we are destined to be in college football land with the top 04s where the best never duke it out in a playoff or tournament together and instead have to play the "who beat who by what amount" game, thus the question of who is best remains subjective.
Anyhow, congrats to DT South for another 03 championship and congrats to Dalglsih for finishing as finalist in an 03 tournament.

From what I heard there was a lot of respect between parents of both teams and coaches which makes a nice change.
I think that teams like kennington and perhaps DT South 04s should try their hand at an 03 tourney, it won't hurt them!

DT South 03 are definetly a strong team - they have a very skilled center who can dribbel past people at will and a couple of monster defenders. They played very fair throughout. It was an exciting game !
In my opinion, all the final games in the various age groups were very physical ones because the grass was very long and the ball just wouldn't move very far so there seemed to be lots of bumping and scrapping. This environment tended to favor the larger DTS girls in the U8 final. When all the teams played on the smaller turf fields at Mckinney for the first three games, that surface tended to suit the Dalglish girls' pass and move technical style of play.
A great final game overall. Just wish they had kept the games on the turf as all the teams in the tourney in all age groups had to focus more on touch and control, and the games looked far better from a neutral's perspective. Watching some of the other finals yesterday on the Plano grass, they were all slogfests!
The 04-05 Dalglish girls got a good lesson that you have to be able to play in all conditions.
Congrats to DTS and to TFC for a great tourney under the rainly circumstances!
