Sorry I was responding to a post of 1 v1 and obviously did not do it correctly. 1v1 said Grubbs roster was down to 12 . As far as being inconsistent. I agree they are 9 . I was stating the reason that I thought many of the human pollers are not ranking SRSA 1st was beacuse they are a bit more inconsistent and have lost and tied to a few more teams outside of the top three. But the computer generated polls have the at #1 because of the number of games they play and that's admirable of the coacht o have them playing so frequently.

i need a soccer team to root for. never played, never even liked the game, but now that all my girls are playing i am starting to learn. all my other sports teams have gone to pot; lebron left the cavs, i gave up my browns season tickets this year after 19 years, and the last straw my beloved buckeyes are toast. after 3 national title and 8 bcs appearances i just dont think i can make the adjustment to 4-8 and not bowl eligible. i have standards. i tried nascar but jr has been in a rut and the rangers are struggling. so i think i will go soccer full time. who should i pick? i dont want to be cliche' like yankees, cowboys or lakers in thier respective sports. any advice?

If you want to check out soccer good teams to watch Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, I like FC Dallas in MLS, National Teams i like to Watch USA Men/Woman's National Teams, Spain National Team, German National Team, Ghana National team. Manchester United and Barcelona are my fav clubs to watch.

Messi, is the most fun to watch. But, if you don't want to be a front runner, my pick for you would be Manchester City.

thanks for the kind comments; and to you soccerskills as well on the other thread. i was stunned at the fall of glotz and lady blast on saturday. maybe it was a bad matchup thing. i was pulling for webb in pks in the consolation game. even though they are my arch rival/nemesis i think it is important that all the top 02s make a good showing as a group.

regarding fever white, they are a good team. they will climb the charts. i saw the 2nd half of the finals and they just couldn't get it going. and to feets credit they played hard and aggressive. and i dont mean rough or dirty, i mean like they really wanted it.

Bob, I could of very easily put Glotz at #4....4-6 are pretty interchangeable!

we all seem to drink the same kool-aid.

1st question. My daughters rec team (purple ponies) just won their end of the season tournament. How come nobody ranks them in the top 20?

2nd question. My daughter wants to play on a team that wins the most games. She doesnt care if she gets playing time, she just wants trophies. I think it is ok because the team that wins the most must be developing the best, or no? Or is it different for each kid?

conveniently man u was playing barcelona on the soccer channel late last night so i got a chance to evaluate a few of the front runners. that messi fella can do some amazing stuff with the ball. very exciting. but it didn't seem like real soccer to me. first, they weren't taking turns with the ball. when my kids play they boot it up the middle so the other team has a chance with the ball. they kindof share back and forth like that to keep it fair. also, i didn't hear anyone yelling "send it" when thier team had the ball. someone must be yelling it otherwise how does the team with the ball know when it is time to let the other team have thier turn. i don't have surround sound so that must be why i couldn't hear it.

Hey Bob....I mean Phil, Glotz had trouble with the 01's size difference. Glotz is not a big team even in 02 standards....our game is speed and passing! We got pushed off the ball a lot and lost a bunch of 50/50 balls to the 01's. The Liverpool team game in particular was very frustrating to watch....their girls were huge and just punished(nothing dirty..just physical) our girls when we had the ball! The Liverpool team literally got to their offensive 3rd three times and scored on 2 of them and over shot on the other. We played in their end of the field 90% of the game and they scored when our defenders were pushed up to the half line and they cleared a ball then out muscled our defender at the half line and had a breakaway. In the 2nd half they had 10 girls in the box and never crossed midfield with their player controlling the ball. They might of cleared a ball across midfield but never controlled it.

The FCD team was also big, but they were better skilled than the Liverpool team. They beat us 2-0 with one of the goals an own goal when it bounced off one of our defenders on a shot taken pretty far out that the goalie had an easy play on. FCD team also beat Webb 02 in semi's.

We handled business against Waco Blast....which was a little more our size!

No excuses....except we need to finish better and hopefully taking the beating we took physically will serve us well in the future. Our girls learned to use skill and pass because you can't always over power all teams!

i did not see any of your games, but based on my familiarity with the teams, i'd say your account is dead on. and regarding your comment about "hopefully taking the beating we took physically will serve us well in the future", i'd say that it will. fever has played some decent 01s several times (mansfield samba, polaris, liverpool hunt, redstar dehaven). they've learned when to duck.

i'd also say the physical bordered awfully close to dirty in a few games. i saw two yellows and one red given out. there may have been more. cmon now. its too early for that.

Oh no I watched it alright and even have it video taped and DT did dominate the game. Sorry you are taking your loss so hard.

It was a great game and can't wait for the rematch again in a few weeks.

Yes, We did have a guest goalie but I find it funny that our full time goalie who played defensive put a whooping on a good portion of you offense.

It was a great game and can't wait fo the rematch again in a few weeks.

I understand its a 01 Div.

What I dont get is why do you have to pull an Rockin 01 goalie when your playing a pure 02 team.

Your 02 goalie seemed to be available.

According to your first post it seemed to be two, 02 teams playing each other.

Im sure if Solar-East would of used an Rockin 01 goalie that may of made a difference.

DT-North shooting on an 02 goalie.

Solar-East shooting on 01 goalie.

Doesnt seem to be level terms IMO.
