Just leaving a DD visit with a DII school and a 95. Coach said you are only holdout, give me answer please in 1 - 2 weeks, at Dallas international I am looking at 96's. This is a DII coach. So DI is definately at 96 level maybe younger, so email them , e mail them ....and here is the key I found that some don't do. follow up when they attend a game. DO you have a champino that talks to them and gives them your info? Don't assume they will create action they may have seen 50 interested girls. Keep your name high, ask for visits and yes until you are a Junior pre start of school is first time they can e-mail you. NAIA give you lots of love and conversation because they can, doesnt mean a DI or DII doesnt love you until an e-mail July of soph-junior year, then life starts to change. STAY TIGHT ON THE PROCESS!

My DD visited 3 D1 schools over spring break. All of the coaches said their 2013 rosters are set. They are looking at 96/2014. I know one 96 top keep has already been offered a plum spot. One coach said for the right player, there might be room for a 95/2012, but no money. They all were willing to waive out of state tuition and there would be room in the athletic dorm. NAIA and D3 are much freer in their activities. Freshman year, DD was made an offer to play soccer and try out for basketball at a very academically fine D3 school. (FYI, not Vassar whose keep is a Solar/Ursuline graduate who also plays basketball.) They help find "other' and academic scholarships if they want you at D3. This was actually my DD wish school but after seeing the play, she said she'd rather play at a more competative level. Also, after running the numbers, it will still run approximately $19K to go to this school if she qualifies for these other scholarships. Sooo, it is in her top ten but looking more now at D1 and one D2 program at public school. Also remember, at a smaller program, more likely to get field play/be a starter as a freshman. Some Mia Hamms will get full play freshman year, but realistically, not the norm.

But, don't despair if your dd is a 2013 or even a 2012. Just heard one girl graduating this year from our team was offered a spot at TWU. So, like always, if your dd is what a particular coach needs/is looking for, there will be a spot.
