We can feel your fear. You are a weak, metrotexan. This the eve of the Okie soccer empire. We will rule the land of the 02Gs for the next millenium. We will prove your metrotex ideas of playing 11 versus 11 too early and too young are foolish. Our legions are stronger, faster, better trained, and more conditioned than your metroweaklings. I predict a great victory for the Okies on your own pitch.
Did I look at this right? Only OK team to make semis was Blitz as a wildcard?
Website says Andromeda made it as wildcard against Higg in Semi's, but if you look at points OK Blitz had more points than Andromeda.....what happened there?
Maybe Blitz decided to just go home early with the rest of the teams?

Where is the tale of the tape? This was a double over time tooth and nail battle. The better team did win, but it was a hard fought battle. Good job Texans!
I watched this game and I must say it was a good battle but man some of the parents on the FCD side line are a little loud and unruly. I have no dog in the fight I was there watching the game next to them. When both field sidelines are just 2-3' ft apart you hear and see everything.

I heard after the game that there were some upset FCD parents. I am trying to find out why they were upset and hope it is not because of the loss.

Blitz played, the website is wrong. We almost expanded the empire but we were thwarted this time. Beware. We will be back. We will be back!

Very classy but not unexpected! I'm just surprised it took you this long.

Three of the four OK teams playing are the top three up here, so it should be good competition. Any predictions on the top four?
None of the brackets are easy. All the Texas teams are in the top 11 in Lake Highlands. How would you rank the 4 OK teams?
My guess is
DT Higgs
Solar GIO
Solar Dymnamo
Dt South
OK teams pretty solid. TSCH, Blitz, and South Lakes are pretty close, although TSCH recently won the league up here with those teams in it. TSCH and Gio have traded victories in the past year, but Gio got the win a couple weeks ago up here. Blitz beat Gio 2-1 in the same tournament. TSCH beat Texans 02 Red Marshall 4-0 I think. Going back to Plano, TSCH lost to Premiere by 1 and tied Solar Chelsea Red. Blitz beat Gio that tourney as well, but lost to Dynamo by a few goals. The only one I don't think has a great team is NYSA, I'm not sure they belong in the top bracket (they weren't even top 8 in silver division in Plano).
My gut tells me one of the OK teams will make it to the semi's, but it's a solid group of teams all around so who knows. I'm looking forward to it. Looks like great weather and great soccer teams.
Would like to know now, after tournament, if you still think NYSA was in the wrong division? They did finish 4th in bracket, but pushed the finalist to a tie with opportunity's for the win. Also was competitive in other two with opportunity’s for scores in both. Not bad for a team that Plano tournament was the first time they played 11v11

We played FC Dallas Premier in the Plano Tournament, and they were beating us soundly. One of our girls got frustrated and said to another girl on our team, "Don't let them push you like that."....somewhat close to the FC Dallas sideline. A parent from FC Dallas says to our girl, "Yeah, how is that working out for you so far!" Really?
Anyway, don't want to side track this thread...... as a parent from an OK team, I love coming down to Dallas to play. There are some incredible teams here with unbelievable talent. It is always tough, but always fun. Congrats to the Texans for the win.
But I gotta say, my personal favorite team to watch is Solar Dynamo. The possession game they play is just so pretty! Calm under pressure...they build an attack out of the back....so little kick 'n run. Sure--- size, speed and aggression win the day most of the time at this age, but give me this type of soccer any day. Love it!!!

Got a NYSA parent fired up enough to sign up just to post. Nice... All I have to say is bring it to OPL this Spring and let's get it on There are at least four very good 02 teams in OK (TSCH, Blitz, Southlakes, and OFC). If you guys are coming together and make it number 5, all the better. There is a NEOFC 02 team lurking out there that isn't bad either. I hope next Fall we can field a top 8 where every game is an unknown. That competition will make us all better. Lack of depth among top teams in any division is one of the reasons why our top teams often struggle in NTX.
From the looks of it, Southlakes and Blitz competed well this weekend against tough competition. TSCH struggled more than expected, but were playing without a few starters and played their first game against a team that is quite frankly on another level. We don't need to catch NTX at 9 and 10 years old, just do well enough to position ourselves to compete once ECNL comes around.
Kudos to all. "We'll be back!"

Way to go West Texas
I also want to congratulate all the teams that traveled from West Texas to play in this event. I thought as a group we showed pretty well. Amarillo Drifters, Odessa Statik, Lubbock FCD WTX Holder, Midland FCD WTX Red, San Angelo FC. Maybe next year the TD will not make us all play in the White Division. When asked, the TD said that the West Texas teams didn't rank well enough to play in the higher divisions. Hopefully that changes for all of us moving forward. As it turns out there are some quality teams West of 820.
Regarding our sidelines, yes our parents get pretty excited when we give up a tying goal in the final minute of regulation to send the semifinal game to OT. It didn't help when teams have choreographed celebrations dances each time they scored on us.
Also, for clarification we only played 1 overtime that consisted of two 10 minute halves. That doesn't qualify as double overtime.

Re: Dallas Texans Fall Festival
I saw game too and would have to agree that Dynamo was tenacious and didnt back down.Higgy played some unorganized kick ball at time-which is very unlike them. Maybe case of "coach away girls will play" but looked much better Saturday. Higgy girls looked physically stronger and more fit, Dynamo may have had the upper hand with quickness and skill in most cases . They went full speed until the end and there was some decline on Dynamo's end. Dynamo's defense looked strong and tough to crack seemed more organized, at times Higgy d looked confused on who should get the ball but in the end had shut out, so I'd say they did the job. But Loads of boot de ball up de pitch. Higgy had egde up top and in middle with more scoring oppty than Dynamo. The ball didnt get past texan offense and midfield much. outside defensive for texans seemed to help offense at times, to where Dynamo kept all defenders backhombre wrote:Went to the final of DT - Dynamo. Very good game I thought. Dynamo had a lot of fight in them and never blinked. DT was the better side after halftime and deserved the win. Great on the volley finish for the winning shot in OT.
final score card
Offense-Texans
Mid-Texans
Defense-Dynamo
Keeper-tie (TXN keeper rarely touched ball from memory,Dynamo keeper small but made some good saves)
1st half -Dynamo
2nd half -Texans
Overtime-Texans.

Dynamo's keeper is amazing. Kudos to that tenacious tiny warrior! Saw her in another tough match on Saturday and her first save of the game was amazing...even as big as some other keepers are...I'd say that 99% of 10/11 yr old keepers would not have made the save she did. Love that entire team...Coach and girls. Coach Stark has a team that will be tops for quite awhile I bet.

This tournament Director is very good at what he does and it is not very common for any one team to blow anyone out of the water in this tournament.
BTW, the overly excited or rather rude and obnoxious behavior of SOME FCD parents did not come at the end of the regulation game time with a tieing goal. As matter of fact, the game was stopped twice for a brief second in the first 10 min of the game for the ref to hold up his hand and tell the FCD parents to settle down. I know that each sideline will always see things a little different and I am sure that the shouting from the FCD parents was thought to be reasonable by themselves, no matter what ettiquette and rules might state. But we will go ahead and excuse parents if you all will please excuse the poor judgement 3 little girls made when they decided to do a little dance after the only goal they made against your team. No choreography involved, quite frankly, they were very much admonished for their behavior by the coach, as soon as the team came to the sidelines. This is unacceptable behavior and it has already disappeared from our game, will yours??
Again, great team you have and a hard fought game, we are very glad to have had the opportunity to play your team and hopefully we will see you in an upper division next year!

I understand getting excited when it's a nail bitter but when your team has multiple field marshals there because dad's are screaming at the ref very early in the game is another thing in my opinion. This wasn't excited due to a close game this was unruly and threatening in manner in my opinion. Like I said early I have no dog in this fight as I don't have a dd on the DT team. I was there for the game on the next field and was sitting behind your sideline when all this took place.
As for your team which is a great team I personally think they were in the right bracket at this time from the game I watched being played.

Re: Dallas Texans Fall Festival
There are other effects. From what I've seen, the screaming and cursing team parent winds up angering the ref and the calls from then on go against the team even more. The girls on the team get more uptight which results in worse play on the field. Some kids start cheating which causes more injuries and blatant bad sport plays. You are the example.
The ref doesn't see every play. Bad calls will happen here and there. Grow up and realize that it evens out if you roll with the ups and the downs. Don't have embarrassed that you are my parents kids.
