Did any teams happen to blow up Monday with a majority going to another club?

Like usual - someone shows up, drops a hint, but can't (or won't) deliver the goods.

What's the point?  If no one heard, how could they post?  If someone heard something, comes to this board, but didn't post it, not likely they will now just because you asked.

I 2nd that, someone who throws it out there to see if someone else takes the bait and runs away with it.

Given the current state of youth soccer in NTX, I think the most likely answer to this particular question is "yes"... What? too cynical?

This is what I hear from the little NTX soccer birds:

The old Sting West Davis team that went to DT Mid-Cities has gone back to Sting to be coached by AG.  

Interesting news eh?

another Sting Dallas team, or still out West?

I heard just a promise of popsicles after every practice.

Not sure about Sting West or Sting Dallas.  My guess would be Sting West for location purposes for the players but not sure that the name really matters.

How does that work, as it appears she is already coaching the 98 and 99 ECNL teams, 03 and 04 Academy teams, and is an 00 Pool coach?

That means she will be busy.  You have to assume that this team knew that they come in on the bottom of the totem pole.

BTW, those are not Academy teams anymore.

Could be wrong, but unless she's changed her name to Tatu, AG doesn't have anything to do with the Sting ECNL teams, unless it's filling in to run a practice here or there.

From what I hear she will only be the coach on paper...

My mistake.  Looked at her Bio on the Sting site:

- Sting Dallas Academy '00 Pool Coach (Current)

Not surprising...that team came north to Tulsa for friendlies w/ a bunch of Sting teams...I'm sure they had lots of free time to work on getting that team back

Well someone should knock those birds out of the tree!    

My kid is on this team! That team is totally fine and STRONGER than ever.

While a few players have left; 1 because she didn't want to play soccer anymore- GOD FORBID; 2 because they had a challenging transition to the new coach.

FYI those 2 kids that left to join other teams were with Ryan Davis for more than 3 years. Ryan Davis' philosophy is polar opposite of the new coach. Willie Molano - attacking minded and fast, technical movement.  

Transitions to clubs/coaches always generates departures and it should be expected! So this is not really anything to talk about in my opinion.

FYI - good luck to those that left we wish them well!

Just so we clear this up...the Texans 05 team traveled with 2 other Texan teams (03, 97 Jay Fitzgerald) and 2 Sting teams. So that would be 3 Texan teams and 2 Sting teams...

The Texan Coach has a friendship with the Sting coach. So not sure why this would build a case that the Texan 05 team went back to Sting.

No doubt - clearly the Sting website is not a reliable source for information on the teams and their coaches.

Then again, things change so quickly over there, I can understand how they have a problem keeping up.

Not knowing the details of the situation, I won't comment on what happened or why it happened, if much has actually even happened. I did, however, have the opportunity to watch this impressive group play earlier this summer, when they were still with Ryan Davis. They seemed to be very skilled and technical even then, and this definitely fit with my previous experiences with Ryan's players and teams as he was highly regarded in the NTX soccer community for his ability to teach the technical side of the game.

Ryan definitely had a tendency to build teams from the back, so I suppose you could reasonably argue that his philosophy or emphasis would certainly differ from a more attack-oriented approach, but I would hesitate to suggest he wasn't emphasizing technical development.
