FBR09 Rankings December 4th, 2017

This FBR Posting will be the last one for the year.  There will be more tournaments in January and February.  Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.  

Updated 09 FBR as of 12/04/17. Only 09 teams with 3 or more games played since 08/19/17 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U9 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  

FBR09 will also include any 09 teams playing against each other in the 08 division.  As long as the teams that are playing up are not using 08 players when playing against each other 09 teams.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  As always regulation scores are used for FBR, not OT and no PKs that determine game result(if known).  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

Good to see Dallas Rush in the ‘09 division again.

Maaaaan....get out of here with that. If y'all would have lost we would have all heard from ProfAC and Offsides by now about how it went down. Go ahead and go back to the 08 division. Congrats to y'alls girls they can definitely play.

Definitely good to have DRFCE09G is in this age group. They are pushing everyone else to elevate their games, not to mention the 08 girls and 09 boys.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I'm very happy to see Rush playing again in the '09 division although I see them continuing to play mainly '08s. I really like their style of play... they play the right way. They deserve to be #1.

Well correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you the one who laid out the how to tutorial to beating rush? I just figure that had they lost you would have been the one to break it down for us. In my opinion rush plays the best tactical style of soccer in the age group and covey has the the most athletic team with a lot of speed. You may have watched rush play more than I have and may have a different opinion.

Serious question though.

That statement goes with the rest of those key words or phrases that sound great from coaches and validating to parents.

like..."I focus on development, the right way to play, we play a Barcelona style of soccer, we will work on possession and working the ball from the back, the best kids will get PT, hard work is rewarded"....etc.

until that tournament or tough rival game comes up.

When people would get on here and comment how crazy everyone is because we enjoy seeing a ranking for youth soccer I was always of the opinion that we are all adults and it's okay because no children actually get on here to see what's said so no harm no foul right. Well after the tantrum that just took place I may be wrong we just might have an 09 player signed into this forum. ProphAC I apologize. And you are right I don't know your opinion. But if you want to share i want to listen okay? Have a good day.

Can't we all just get along?  I think Proph has already shared his thoughts back in May which appear to be complimentary of Rush

Thanks. I was curious since the name isn't at the back of the team name in rankings.

Solar is a great team and fast, but Rush has the top 09 goalie nothing gets pass that girl with out her... how good are they??

Great point. They’d probably be somewhere in the 12-16 range.

Yes ... And she's actually a '10!

In my opinion, GV is an undisputed top 5 coach in NTX, and I know that he is highly coveted by a couple of the big clubs.  I hear he's pretty tied down to the Rush-DFeeters though so we can expect him to stick around for a bit.

Who else would you put in that top 5 convo? NTX seems a bit short on top coaches. I do however agree with you on GV.

I like LW, CP, JK, MG and DMis to join GV as tops overall on the girl's side ... DMar has impressed recently as well.  And I think there are a solid half dozen others that are excellent in one area or another but haven't proven themselves to be on the level of those mentioned above overall -- in my opinion.

And LW loves the itty bits more than he lets on -- I think you'll see him back in the U9/U10 game before long.

I like AB, CD, and EF....not trying to be silly but at least try and provide some context or clues as to who these initials might be for us newbs

Understood fan09 and my apologies ... I've just always been under the impression that referring to coaches using full names on here was a 'no no' -- maybe just the older regime's way of going about it?

Since we're discussing them in a positive light, I suppose no harm --
Lee Weddall, Chris Pulpaneck, Joey Kennington, Derek Missimo, Matt Grubb and Dan Mariscal (along with the aforementioned Gerard Voutier).  

Still may not help some of you since most of these guys aren't involved the 09 group much at the moment (BUST was right about NTX being short on superb coaches on the girls side in the younger groups), but hopefully your kid will be fortunate enough in the coming years to land on one of their teams

if those coaches returned to academy it would really make some of these new coaches step their game up if possible. but i know some parents would haul a$$ to the first session they opened up....lets just wait and see.

Although it would be nice to see some of the more experienced coaches focus on the Academy ranks, it certainly appears that the demands on a coach's time at the Select level makes it very tough. Perhaps having these coaches take one less select team and always work with at least one Academy group for a club would be the best for development or players (and younger coaches).
