FBR09 Rankings April 16th, 2018

Updated 09 FBR as of 4/16/18. Only 09 teams with 3 or more games played since 10/28/17 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U9 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  

***Also added the missing Arlington Academy Games and The Texas Lightning Showcase and Youth Cup 2018***

FBR09 will also include any 09 teams playing against each other in the 08 division.  As long as the teams that are playing up are not using 08 players when playing against each other 09 teams.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  As always regulation scores are used for FBR, not OT and no PKs that determine game result(if known).  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

Fcd JDL red 08 came together this season and has proven to be quite competitive. Any word on the 09 age group putting something together after the 08's go select? Any word on a possible coach? I know FCD isn't worried about this age group yet but their talent seems very scattered at the moment. Just wondering if it will stay that way going into select now that JDL is rumored to be going away.

Solar Colvin went up 3 spots. They didn’t have a good start, but it seems they’re doing better.

No, they will have to be on the FBR10 rankings

Very long standing FBR policy is to not rank younger teams. I would suggest PMing FBR09 if you just have to know how little Mia's team stacks vs the 09s. Up to FBR09 if they want to respond. I know others have in the past (07s w 06s, 08s w 07s etc)....

Heard it was because the tournament used left footed soccer balls only!

FBR format is strictly designed to evaluate same-year teams relative to one another. It does not evaluate or attribute any value to playing teams in older year groups or boys, which several 09 teams are doing. I'm sure someone will establish FBR10 soon enough.

What about when a younger team plays up in an 09 division? How do they evaluate that match? Does it count for rankings if your DD's team is beating (or losing to) a '10 team?

The data is entered, as it would be a common opponent for the 09s. The younger teams are put in proper tier based on their record, but not included in the published rankings.

So, yes, winning and losing vs 10s do count for 09s as the other 09 teams play the same 10 team(in league or tourney) and helps the software calculate rankings due to results against common opponents.

We are working on a FBR ranking list for the 10s. Coming soon......
