Hmmmmmm, these rankings are hilarious! Fever is not even playing SDL I this season ,yet you all still feel the need to rank them.How can you still be ranked in a league your not even playing in? Sounds to me the Fever Futbol Club is doing something correct in their camp. I am sure they appreciate your thoughts. Very Happy

02 Rankings...you cant be serious? Let me ask you this...if these were strictly 02 Rankings then why are you all ranking these teams by what they have done thus far in primarily SDL games? I'm confused... scratch

So what do the odds makers at REALSOCCER.COM (because 9 year old soccer is REALSERIOUSSOCCER)have as the current rankings, and can I bet on it?

I think the rankings are only for fun. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. It's not like your DD's team isn't going to get into an academy tournament because they aren't ranked in the top 10.

I mean, if Fever can't be ranked with the 02's, where do you rank them....with the 01's, MLS, La Liga....where? I believe their ranking is based on the tournament they played in a month or so ago, where they tied Glotz and beat the team that Glotz lost to 3 to 1. Plus they are playing in an 01 league where record can be used to guesstimate about where they belong.

With your way of ranking (thinking), Rowdies should not be ranked either. They are not playing in 02 SDL. The NCAA has rankings. Let's take NCAA football for example. The hundreds of Div 1 football teams do not play in the same conference, nor do they all play in the same caliber of conference.... yet the top 25 teams get ranked.

It's the same scenario here, just on a much smaller level. So, PBS or not, it's all in fun. Don't get so fired up. The rankings mean absolutely nothing at this age.

Forgot 2 things, and they are both a little bit of a jab, but don't get upset. I searched weplayrealsoccer.com, and nothing came up.....also, I am assuming since your daughter plays real soccer, that she is not an 02. Because, most 02's are till playing 9v9 and I am sure you know 9v9 is not real soccer and 11v11 is real soccer....or as some like to call it on here...kickball.

Not upset at all....I just can't believe someone as smart as you are.. actually tried to go to that site I just came up with off the top of my head. Although I should "thank you" for at least checking my credentials before you made up your mind about what I was saying in the first place. I just can't figure out why more of our fun-loving "parents" won't do the same thing. We check credentials on everything else...why aren't we doing this with some of these people who are absolutely trashing the Academy System with B.S. innuendo? BTW....please don't come back and tell me that this is all in fun because every one on here has an agenda.Can't be a critic and have an agenda. I gurantee that TMCC.

Nothing extravagant, just soccer education. Don't get me wrong, I totally agree that it should be about FUN, but demeaning coaches and teams full of 5( Think David May recruits earlier than that, but you may want to fact check that before taking my advice) study

Anyways, back to these OTHER "parents" demeaning these coaches on these forums. I think once you demean any individual or a group of young ladies and gentlemen that takes it way past the realm of "FUN". If this is "FUN" for you then I would hate to see "ELATED". Agreed on the mean stuff. The David May comments I felt were harsh. I have never met the guy, but wrote a supporting comment about him. However, I didn't see any nasty comments around the rankings, so that is why I thought you were a bit out of line. Maybe I just missed them or I am numb to them by now.

Maybe I was out of line and maybe I wasn't. As a supporter of this beautiful sport, I have a duty to make sure, that beauty is passed down from generation to generation. All this hoopla around youth soccer is deteriorating the beauty of the sport. I thought parents on this forum were all about their childrens development. This nastiness has to end because it is single handedly killing your children's happiness with the sport. Why would you want to do anything to erode your child's inner happiness with a particular thing? I'm all for FUN, but lets have some type of real perspective on what may be percieved as FUN.

Soccermom, is this result from this weekend? If so, the list above was done many, many days ago. There would be no way of listing your team, unless of course the creator of the ranking could tell the future. And that would be awesome.

I had them in my top 20 until last week, but I dropped them becuse I couldnt get in info on games! Now that I have it I can adjust. So you are saying they are 3-0 record. What was scores if you remember?

I am sorry i sure dont remember the other two games scores , however i know Spirit won them and yes their record is 3-0 as of right now, I been lurking in the background never really posting anything but i never see spirit's scores. to be honest this forum is kinda scary..lol informative but scary.. lol!
