Looks like Higgy has been in the kitchen cooking! Of course Higg isn't in a bracket with Webb or FCD. Of course Higg's crossover game is against Defeeters and not Webb or FCD. Of course FCD has to be up for a 8am game on Saturday after playing on Friday night and Higgs team doesn't play until 9:30am on Saturday after a Friday game. LOL!

Defeeters got really shafted.....they play Webb, FCD, and Higg.....brutal!

Does look like Higg got a bit of an advantage. Feet got short end of the stick for sure. I guess if you host your own tourney you can make the rules. At least the schedule in this case.

Short end of the stick? It all depends on one's perspective. This is Feet02's great opportunity: focus and win the first game, then ride the wave of confidence and wind up winning against the teams ranked #1, #2, and #3 in back-to-back-to-back games. You have to have a golden opportunity like this before Hollywood will make a movie about your team!

Who wouldn't want a chance at greatness? Stranger things happen in 9-10 year old soccer. The parents better bring the camcorders... U10 history might be made. Last look, Las Vegas has the Feet Sweep priced at 150:1.

Question: How come in the rules (under rule 4) it states no acdemy team may use guest players?????

At first I thought they were talking about a girl playing for more than one team, but then it explicitly say an academy player can only play for one team. So they weren't talking about that.

So what is this rule saying becasue we all know what guest playing means. If my DD is not on a team's regular roster and she is invited to play with them she is a guest player. We also know guest playing is a big part of academy soocer,,, but if the rule states there should be no guest playing,,, am i missing something??

Don't forget all the other academy rules....one practice a week, no recruiting, and you do know that you must make your rec team a priority.

Also, there are no guest players in academy because you can be on as many teams as you want at any particular time and rosters can be changed weekly. Guest players refer to girls at u11 or higher.

Thanks for the replies, I don't know much about how youth soccer works here in Texas (prior to select). I'm trying to read what literature is available and make sense of what is actually happening. Not saying any of it right or wrong. Personally I feel good competition breeds quality play.

I know I like competitive bread, even better toasted with butter!

they did not post the scores. who won both brackets? can someone post the score of the final on our oklahoma board soccer-ok.com

i think our cosmos did quite well even though we lost in the semi's after extra time on the 6th pk. I think we matched up well with all teams.

I think the best team was the polaris team they were very speedy and had some big defenders that made it difficult to finish.

As an OU fan not fun to lose to lubbuck in football and futbol.

Soccerstar, Cosmos played well in the tourney - good team and great defenders. Also, a great group of parents.

Congrats my DT South friends...wished you could have pulled off 1st for the Red bracket but what an awesome effort! Wished I could have seen you tie Higgy and beat Grubb! (not that I have anything against those teams).
