WHAT HAPPENED???????

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
While it is frightening that a man with a dark side to him was around any children, why in the world would you place blame on Liverpool? I don't know of any club that supplies handlers to coaches to track their every move away from the soccer field.
It would have been much easier to call him a scum bag and been done with it. However, you felt the need to drag other people that had nothing to do with the situation into it. Why?

soccerhead wrote:Homie, I don’t know what your motives are here. My daughter and family are right in the middle of the situation and I can tell you that you are way off base on this one. Every one of the girls and the parents would sign on to play with the coach in question at the drop of the hat. If it appears that LFCA is trying to cover something up, it may be because they have done nothing wrong. I would suggest that you withhold your harsh criticism until you have a better understanding of the situation.
but soccerhead, that's no fun! much better to breathlessly announce the news and furiously type conspiracies....

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
I heard from a friend that TD was at FCD fields meeting with his girls and parents the other night so if he is gone and done then why was he there?
Organized crime sounds pretty serious and not sure I want my dd or bb in the area of someone suspected of this crime until proven innocent. Maybe just me...

All I did here is let the Cat Out of the bag.I posted on a thread that's not Liverpool Moderated. This should be discussed. The parents are the only ones That can force these clubs to be transparent and Insure that our children are learning the game they love in a safe enviroment.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
Why where all the threads that were posted on here get deleted. Yeah they told the parents the whole story? Hmm...... Then why don't they know he was Fired and didn't quit or step down, why don't they all know he was involved in much more than drugs. I know of more than 50 other people that know more than they claim to know. Maybe they do know and just dont care??? Ever thought of that.soccer4fun wrote:WingNut wrote:Liverpool didn't skirt or cover anything. They met with his parents and told them about the incident. He was put on suspension pending the charges. They supported him as he is innocent until proven guilty! He chose to resign.
His parents were made aware, nothing was covered up, and unless your daughter played for him, it's not your business.
Homie sounds like no matter what you try to tarnish Liverpool....some history there w you maybe?
this is the entire story, there is just nothing else there; agreed homie has another agenda and not sure what it is but thats for another thread.
I have one agenda, and that's to try and open people's eyes to what's really going on. I can't change this alone. I can sure inform people so maybe they will help me change these things.
Has anyone wondered why we haven't heard from all the Liverpool moderators yet??

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
you have no moral character at all. You guys all come on here and defend this jackass. You can say what you want about hateful lectures but reality is what it is. Are you saying that the police have made a huge error here and none of what the public police report says is true. Come on!!!!!! Sometimes people have to make a stand and stepup and admit you trusted someone that you had no business trusting because the club didn't do there diligence and make sure this guy was of sound character. What all this does now is make me question the parents character as well. How can you defend this guy, because you thought you knew him? Guess you didn't huh?soccerhead wrote:Once again I will say, as someone very close to the situation, Homie you know nothing about the coach, the players or the parents involved. I can assure you that the furthest thing from anyone's mind is winning. I can also assure you, based on your posts, that everyone close to the situation has superior intellect and moral character than you and certainly doesn't need your hateful lecture.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
Get mad and call me names. Just goes to show what kind of people are running around in the NTX soccer community. All I've done is expose Liverpool as they already should have been. Maybe this forces the incompetent people running that organization to change their policies so the little girls playing for their club are safe.soccer4fun wrote:one idiot with a microphone (or forum in this case), that's what you are. I find it absolutely unbelievable that all you Liverpool parents can talk about is me and not want their policies to change. For that matter every clubs policies to change.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
The club is directly responsible here, they employed him and hired him without due diligence. There are many signs that people are doing things like this. Comparing a traffic ticket to this I would say is comparing apples to oranges. I would like to think that this would be taken much more seriously than a traffic violation. So are you saying the Liverpool moderators, whom we have not heard from yet deleted the threads about this because??? They were trying to hide this. That's all there is to it.WingNut wrote:How is a club responsible for a coaches actions on his own time? Is your boss responsible for your last traffic ticket....be realistic.
Sorry to burst your bubble but as soon as LFCA found out about it, they dealt with it. Again no cover up...no skirting...they met w the parents and told them.
Why is that so hard for you to believe...
I guess since they tried to respect his privacy and didn't tell you about it they were covering it up????
Unfortunately wherever you go and whatever you do you are representing your employer. Like it or not. I would say 99.9% of reputable employers would fire you for this, and rightfully so. You have shed them as well as your self in a bad light. Honest everyday hardworking people of character don't want to have anything to do with people like this.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
Truth is, there's not a dang thing any organization can do beyond background checks to prevent this kind of thing. Schools have bad apples, the police force, the Feds, the government. Heck, even parents abuse and murder their kids.
If Liverpool suspended him pending investigation and then he resigned, what other action would you like to have been taken. As a public forum, libel is still a consideration so other than the basic facts, discussion and mud-slinging before conviction could cause the owner of these forums severe legal issues.
Nothing should be buried in the dirt where the safety of kids is involved but equally, lynch mobs who gain momentum from 2nd hand info on a forum with essentially anonymous posting is not the best basis to formulate an opinion either.

unless you are a mccarthyite who likes to incite a mob like mentality. i know tahlon and liked him and i feel very sorry that he is involved. I think losing your job, your reputation, possible incarceration is already a big punishment and IF found guilty he will be punished but i think that LP did what they can do.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
But it’s this senseless rally behind Liverpool that has irritated me. Do I blame Liverpool for something like this? No. Do I think Liverpool should have a firm understanding of the people that function within their club and have direct contact with young children? Yes, but I think all clubs need to do that.
What really surprised me though was the absolute stupidity of some of these responses. As customers in this market we should work to help one another. We need to make one another smarter and be better customers. I always thought we owe that to one another. There needs to be some form of solidarity, right? Why hide this? Don’t you think I would want to know about something like this before I unknowingly brought my kids to one of Drake’s open practices?
If I knew this about another coach (not in Liverpool) wouldn't you want me to give that information to you?
But instead, what I've realized is that the Liverpool supporters on here are completely self-serving. I've read some really stupid comments from people that are only on here to protect their own interests. Stupid crap like...
soccerhead -
"My daughter and family are right in the middle of the situation and I can tell you that you are way off base on this one. Every one of the girls and the parents would sign on to play with the coach in question at the drop of the hat." Really??? Your DD would continue to play for this guy AFTER this has happened? We're talking about your DD here. You would take that idiotic risk with your young and impressionable DD? (I would not.)
WingNut -
"...and unless your daughter played for him, it's not your business." Really? When does it become other people's business to know who their kids are working closely with? Do I need to read about your DD getting raped before it becomes my business? Or is something as stupid as drugs enough? When did we elect you to become the moral compass for the rest of us?

"I don't pretend to know what he did or didn't do but he was always a good coach loved by his players and even players from the other teams. I personally wish him the best and hope he makes it back to coaching from this." YEAH!!!! Let's all pray for this guy's speedy recovery!!!! To show your support you should let your DD spend the weekend alone with him at his house!!! (You keep praying for him while I choose to have my DD avoid him and people like him.)

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
Where I do think he has a legitimate point is why threads were deleted. If they were deleted for some perceived liability issue, they could have been deleted and replaced with a notice of why they were deleted.
Why is it ok to discuss the FC Dallas President's arrest, and not this? I think its a legitimate question.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
I was surprised that the forum wasn't buzzing. The fact that threads were being deleted, as soon as his situation was mentioned is interesting, since this is a public forum. It's not like this is sensitive information. Reading the rules of what you can post, this doesn't seem like this is an inappropriate discussion.
It sounds like LFCA handled this correctly by suspending him.
I hope he is innocent, because he seems like a good coach, and a nice guy from the few conversations I've had with him.
Can one of the moderators answer why posts and threads were deleted that mention this situation??

Re: WHAT HAPPENED???????
I would not let my DD spend the weekend alone with any grown man. Don't need a background check for that. but I guess as long as they check out you are okay with it
All I am saying is I hope he didn't do what he is being accused of. It wouldn't be the first time in America. Arrest and police reports are not guilty verdicts. If he did it he will be found guilty and the felony charge will kill his coaching career and you will be happy . I will find it sad that a young guy made poor choices that destroyed his life. Just a different view in life I guess. You revel in watching others fall, I wish people the best and hope they rise. The "Mules FC" was funny but the genuine wishing for the downfall of a man is sad (you hope he did this ).

I can assure you im on the right side of the fence. Liverpool found out and dealt with it as fast as they could. But I guess that doesn't make for good forum talk. And how dare you talk about anything happening to ANY of our DD's. As far as anyone knows no children were involved or harmed by anything other than losing their coach. Why? maybe because as soon as LP found out they suspended him? who knows? They did what they could to protect their kids by suspending him. I guess since LP didn't have a crystal ball to find out prior to any arrests they are covering things up?
No one is condoning what the coach is accused of here, however he is innocent until proven guilty.
And its pretty much standard practice to suspend someone ACCUSED of wrong doing pending investigation and adjudication. I would bet you DT, Solar, FCD etc would have done the same thing LP did.
