Fair enough.

Everybody loves to bash #1.

That is LW's and RASE's issue. They're #1 therefore there must be a problem. Dalglish are #2 so there must be a huge jealousy and bitterness issue.

Having worked and coached girls on both teams, the only problem I can see is that the girls are too sweet and just love playing soccer. The parents issue is that they've probably been the most humble bunch of a #1 and #2 team since all this ranking stuff started since the 96 age group (yea TurfMonster).

Why anybody would spend 4 pages of a thread trying to bash a system that has so clearly worked is idiocy. Here's an idea; come up with a better system, get to #1 and #2, then throw in an opinion of any relativity.

Well said. I've been through this with the 98G's (what became LP Pulpaneck's group) and the 01G's (Solar Red Bates). Each time, parents complanined, bashed, etc...these teams. Bottom line, a nice group of players wound up on a specific team for whatever reasons. It happens in every age group, and will continue long after our own respective DD's and BB's have stopped playing.

My final trip through the ranks with my 04G's, and we are just focusing on watching/enjoying our 04G's play. Nothing more.

By the way, the RASE 04G group play some stout soccer for 9 year old's, relative to the other age groups I have watched over the years. It's always a fun game (even though we wind up on the wrong end of the score) when my 04G's get to play RASE.

I hope RASE keeps it in perspective and gives the res of us a measuring stick for years to come.

Tell me about it.

The vast majority of families at Liverpool are great and LW is a good coach as well. We've played against his teams and the parents are first-class. The problem is that when anybody says anything that isn't 100% positive on this forum about LP or LW, the response is that you're attacking LP and you're tearing the girls down.

The responses the LP fanboys/girls give on this forum is what generates the backlash. You have a LP coach (the Wolf 7 guy) coming on here saying that because you don't have a #1 and #2 team, you have no right to have an opinion. Or that RASE won 2 0 but had to throw in that they took lots of shots. Basically saying you should've won by a lot more. You have LP parents coming on here defending a coach charged with felonies. Would you do the same if your DD's school teacher was charged with the same crimes?

I don't think anybody has anything personal against RASE, Dalglish, or LW. Some may like their styles, some may not. Just because somebody says LP is not for them, it does not mean they are attacking you. There's plenty said about other coaches and teams that are far worse than what is being said about LP.

Rase is the team to beat...that's it...I know of no other details but in order to be the best you have to beat the best. Ur dd's team must not stand a chance if u condede and just praise them. I could never bash 9yr old girls having fun winning or trying to for that matter...its just interesting to SEE if the day will come when there is a new LEGITIMATE...number one...and until then, Rase everyone is coming for you....

With that being said, someone kill this thread. Plenty of good teams in our age group, should be getting more competitive. Let the girls have fun and don't take the loss/win too personal. You live to play another game.

Believe or not don't really care what people think about the team or coach but you can't take the moral high road when I come to the defense of a team and coach I believe in. I don't understand what that means, but whatever I guess you're trying to defend yourself. Why are you even posting on here? You sure seem to like to brag about being a LP coach from your prior posts. I'm surprised the LP admin let you on here. I don't know of ANY coach who posts on the forum without being anonymous. You must either by really brave or really um yeah.

You don't understand what an indirect object pronoun is ('that') or is there something specific from a whole two points that has befuddled you? If your idea of bravery is not posting anonymously then I'd hate to see all those 19th place trophies that must overflow your garage.

I knew i had seen your name in virtually every thread where the team is mentioned. If Dalglish was an anthropomorphic entity, it would request a restraining order to prevent you following it hiding in the bushes. I never said anything directly negative about the coach you are referring to. I've never met him. I'm just challenging the BS. Is he the only one that knows how to develop? You're not directly saying anything negative about the guy, yet in less than two sentences later you make a bold statement about someone forgetting more than someone else knows. Have you done your homework on their backgrounds? (Not an actual question, the answer is no).

to be fair if he is a LP coach and all of his post are about LP that would kind of make sense. If you are not with LP and all of your post deal with them then that is a bit odd. JS

How on earth can you assume you know the education level of someone you don't know anything about? I can't help but to chuckle as I read your mindless spew about someone I personally know. His life, professional, athletics and educational experiences would embarrass your resume.
