Let's be clear. No one has a problem with the LP teams or kids. It's just a few of you overzealous parents that everyone has issues with. You come on here almost daily and state your opinions, run down other teams, attack coaches, and hide behind aliases. For the most part, people just ignore you. But when anyone says anything about LW or RASE, you freak out because you just can't handle any criticism.
That's why the story is being written about you guys and no one else. Funny how you haven't mentioned anything about that yet.

Actually its all the anger you displayed in your post that says you need to get a grip. And of course you only have 5 post I mean afterall you just signed up today I don't run downs teams, attack coaches and certianly don't hide behind aliases. I have no problem with criticism or with being wrong but again on this topic I was right yay me and you actually agreed with me on it. And on the topic of LW doing NO development you were just wrong . Now the LW issue was actually unrelatedd to the question at hand but of course the only reason you posted was so you could unleash your attack on LW No one texted anybody. But several came on to say they had actually been with LW a long time and developed. So it is your opinion that LW does NO development and you are entitled to it. Now if you DD has been with LW and didn't get better thats too bad and you may have something real to say. If she hasn't then you have no idea what he does or doesn't its just you working thru your issues. Again looks like more attacking.

I am interested in this story being written though. Must be about a dashing young hero who has a habit of being right

So I think we have established that top teams are assembled in NTX which you seem to agree happens. Any other slight you think I have done to you or anyone team or coach is imagined on your part, But I tell you what you seem to know alot about my post so any disparaging post of mine you can copy and paste it and I will apologize and say I was wrong.

Your responses are very telling. Since I have a different opinion than you, well that obviously means I have anger issues. Nice try. Relax man. It's just soccer. Don't be so overinvolved. You don't have to fight with everyone that doesn't see things like you. My DD's team has been called a Kickball team and everything else under the sun. Our parents just ignore it.
I don't have all the facts on the story. Email Peter Brody. I am sure he knows all about it by now.

Well certianly sounded angry but guess it wasn't if you say so. Opinions may have been different (although mine was based on actual experience with the coach) but our facts were the same on the formation of teams in NTX

Joking! I think we will play. It will be good for them. My opinion is RASE is best team in this age group so it will do DALGLISH good to play them. Then we can all go have ice cream afterwards!

C'mon Wingnut, you know why not. I think most parents on Dalglish agree with you about RASE being the best. With that said, was LW protecting the parents who knew they are the underdogs in the championship game last fall? If you lost......who cares, you were supposed to. LW is a smart guy, this game will NOT happen, for no reason other than the very slim chance that Dalglish wins or ties this game. If that were to happen RASE parent would start jumping ship, I know some of them, they've done it before to other teams. Would Dalglish parents jump ship if you were to lose to RASE. Not a chance. Remember that when you're eating ice cream and not playing March 10th. Because I know other Dalglish parents will, and it won't sit well with them. But does LW really care if you guys jumped? We'll all find out soon

We will see if we play and you might be right there could be a vacant field on the 10th, thats LW's decision. But one thing I can assure you of is LW does care if Dalglish players jump ship. No doubt RASE is the first team but I do know he cares about both teams. No one can deny that he has done a good job keeping both teams in the top 10. I really dont think he would let them fall apart if he could help it.(I could be wrong, wont be the first or last time) But it sure is nice to see how much concern everyone has on here for our well being! Rolling Eyes

Good luck to everyone on this weekends games! Im sure they will make for some more good forum banter come Monday!

If we have any rase parents that would jump ship because we lost to dalglish, I would prefer to see them jump ship now. Hell I would match fix a game to get that type of parent to leave now. Rase is not immortal and losses are part of competitive sports. I think you don't understand rase parents at all or the dynamic between the 2 teams and the coach. So no matter how much you stir the pot lw either will or won't play that game. A bigger pot to stir is the fact that i dont think any of the other teams will beat Dalglish. Better try this weekend while the coach is away.

And please give me something besides "we could play each other at practice", or "he wanted to treat the girls to a party". You really think Dalglish parents who pay the same money as the rest are going to be cool with that a second time??? LW putting the egos of certain parents ahead of the "development" of players? Of course there is interest from people from the outside. People make decisions about where their DD and $ will go for soccer training each day. I know you are blinded because of what side of the fence you are on, but if you really think about the reasons, it's very clear. But who knows, next season you might be on the other side of the fence, and see it the other way.

Guess I didn't realize there was a fence. I really don't think the people with interest in that game are concerned about where their DD will train and if winning of losing the dalglish game is the deciding factor then please don't come out to RASE. Are you sure its just not a desire to see a group of 9yr olds and their coach fall?

I am glad you are so sure my DD wont be able to keep up. She would probably disagree with you though. If my DD fails to keep up then she has to move to Dalglish where she has friends, if she cannot make it there then we just have to find a team and coach that is closer to her level. Unlike you I don't think a team is a lifetime appointment. I think a spot is something you earn and have to continue too earn. Every other kid has a right to a spot on the team too. I don't want her on a team just because of seniority or politics or smoozing the coach. This is her soccer and she has to learn to earn what she gets. I do welcome you to bring out little silentsoccer to see if she can take the spot from her though

That wasn't a regualr game it was a end of season championship game to determine the 8 yr old champ. But I was thinking about it and maybe someone else can confirm Was back in their first season of 04 soccer with the texans I don't recall laser and zoom ever playing each other then either and there was not top team or second team. so sounds like it was SOP

lol, the problem is coachs like lw dont organically build teams they are a parts machine, i am sure little go is a good player, but with a poacher coach, you are always in danger of being replaced by the next big thing that they poach from another team. I do think it is a warning sign when a coach can't find or cant convince others from within a club to come play for him.

So you are suggesting that I should move her from her original academy coach because you see warning signs? But based on your view I can't. Because no coach can take her. If they did they would be a poacher coach taking the next big thing. What you are suggesting is that teams cannot take in new players and once you are on it you are set or stuck depending on which side of the fence you are on. the girls that chose to come to rase coach lee should have outright rejected them and turned them away. I would love to hear that conversation with your coach. "wow you are a great player but I can't use you here. We are a closed team and you should stay with tour original coach"

Anybody know how many of the lets say top 5 teams in select are built from the same exact kids as lets say u7?

you are obtuse. Coaches that are constantly poaching are building a team of parts to win NOW. IMO in academy, i want a coach to teach my kid the game not be on the prowl for the next big thing to satisfy their ego.....

It's actually the opposite, I would love to see the underdog succeed. Do I think they would? NO. But they at least deserve a chance. They have earned it. Which is exactly what the Dalglish parents think.
