For Advanced '07 Players

For Advanced '07 Players
Liverpool Gerrard in The Colony, or Liverpool Fowler in Allen.
Both teams have a top to bottom roster of talented players with equal abilities.
Each player can execute every skill and technique and have been for over a year - scissors, step overs, zico's, l-turns, bring downs (juggle in the air to trap), etc., and can one-touch and two-touch pass without hesitation at varying distances.
They are assigned homework at the beginning of each month and at the end of each practice.
Players on both teams already understand each position and their role.
They are all taught to do the right things by how and when to pass, how and when to beat a player, and are not permitted to aimlessly play kick ball, use their toe, or do anything else that is detrimental to their development just for the sake of a win or goal.
Challenge your daughter and be part of a team full of technically skilled players.
PM for details if you are in the Frisco/Plano/Colony/Lewisville/Carrollton area for Liverpool Gerrard, or Allen/Richardson/McKinney/East Plano or Frisco area for Liverpool Fowler.
Not currently accepting players new to the game. Neither team is in "build" mode.

I never quite understood the negative sentiments towards LP on this site, until now.

Is there something I can do to help your understanding of Academy soccer? Please PM with any questions regarding the subject. Or, what is your question?
Recreational soccer is where young players, new to the game, can learn the basics and fundamentals in a challenge-free environment. Whereas Academy soccer is a platform to learn at a higher level - a specialized school, just for soccer. In Academy soccer, players who seek more than the basics will have that at their disposal, and are constantly being challenged.
I hope that helps.

It seems that you misread or misunderstood the post. Let me help you with that.
The message states neither team is currently accepting players new to the game, not new players. Entirely different meanings, as you can see.
Many teams are now forming and are learning the basics. As stated above, if you have a daughter that needs to be challenged and play with a team who are beyond the basics and fundamentals, there are two teams for them to grow with. These teams are not adding players simply to add players.
Does this answer your question?

Not really. Pretty sure I know all I need to know about Academy and rec. Not my 1st rodeo.
One thing you can answer for me though, when did LP build the top 05, and 06 team? And I could have sworn that I heard about the top 03 team being with some club not named LP.
And since academy doesn't start until u7, how do you have the 'top' 07 academy team already.

Maybe SRSA 03, Kicks 06, Texans 06, Sting East 06, and Kicks 07 are all moving over to LP??? WOW!!
Huge day for LP, heard it here first folks. I need to have a drink now!

Certainly. For the '06 age group, stand by. You will see that one team in particular is being hand-picked and formed at the moment from players on other teams coming back to Liverpool - or moving there for the first time. For the '03 age group, a team in the top three (unofficial rankings) should be considered a top team in the age group, as the other teams are as well. There are two top teams in the '03 age group from Liverpool.
In the '04s, the top two teams in the age group are both from Liveprool, one of which is beating the top 10 and 20 teams from the '03 age group on a weekly basis.
In the '05s, the RASE team here is also unofficially ranked in the top 3, and have 4 of the top 10.
For the '07's, it is based on the number of tournament wins and match wins without competition, other than from the Dallas Kicks 07 team I previously mentioned.
For each of these age groups, Liverpool FC has much higher representation in top tier competition, all the way through the top 20. That is due to the constant turn toward quality and the number of good coaches within the family.

Stay positive and celebrate the game. Players at any of the clubs you mentioned are very lucky to have their coaches and the training they are exposed to.

Re: For Advanced '07 Players
LP 04- definitely an age group LP owns
LP 05 - good representation for LP. I would say DT are at the top though
LP 06 - no 'unofficial ranking' out on this age yet, but I would say no team in the top 15 at least. (Perhaps Andro and Skeets working on a merger to LP)
07- way to early to tell. Good that you guys have a head start on everyone else, just a little too much over-selling for my taste. But good luck to you and your team.

Re: For Advanced '07 Players
Well we were looking at 07 teams but my daughter does not know every skill, technique and position so obviously way too behind. I guess we should have had her in Academy at 2. Heck my U14 D1 son is behind you teams. I can't wait to see these teams in action- probably should charge admission. The Real Decoy wrote:If your daughter is far ahead of her teammates in ability, is being held back in practices due to her teammates' skill level, or is relied upon to do everything for her team, consider coming to open practices in The Colony or in Allen with the two top teams in the age group, and with THE top Academy in North Texas - Liverpool FC, who have produced the top teams in each age group from '03 to '07.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to put yourself out there and post something on this forum, just to get ripped apart from about 20 different angles...

Touche, BW
This post isn't for everyone, as per the thread title. I think it's great that there's an option for those players and parents who are looking for something more, whether with these two teams or the Dallas Kicks who I would also recommend if you are in the I-35/635 area.

I dunno gophers...this seems a much kinder, gentler place than it was back in our Academy heyday. We would've ripped him for least a week straight.
Still can't get over what you all did to soccertalker and his tall grass....ya bunch of bullies!
