I still think letting everyone know what your plans are early is best for the other players on the team because you are a team. Why does ntx soccer give all the control to the cach even after the season is over. June should be open practice and open tourneys except most of the tournys are in May.
Every situation and every person is different but definitely agree that letting the team (both the coach and other player/parents) know as early as possible is the best approach. Over communicate and be honest. Definitely do not mislead or lie.

If this site isn't about players/parents sharing negative experiences with coaches, what good is it? You know many coaches are calling the former head coach on their prospects to get dirt on them, we should be sharing our experiences here. This is only place we can fight back a little and right now is the only time the player has any power.

You can then throw the contract on the ground, dance on it a little and wave the peace sign as you dismisively walk to your vehicle with your girl in tow.

Ya wish I had done that lolRunsLikeWind wrote:Show up to the signing party wearing the hat of your current team and then when they pass out the contract, rip off the hat, only to show you were wearing the hat of another team all along.

"WE ARE TAKING OUR TALENTS TO (insert club here)" Lebron would be proud.

I say be honest that you want to explore other opportunities as soon as possible. Does that put your coach into immediate replacement mode? Yes, more than likely. But if you have reasons to look elsewhere, the coach's looking to replace shouldn't deter you. At some point, players can outgrow their current team/coach and in order to progress have to move on.
