Me - Virg, Mich, UCLA, NC, BC, Duke, Va Tech, Fla St - pretty much took the home team. ACC looks pretty strong but it would be great if a&m or ark can pull an upset!

Mich/Va - Va 2-0 the acc has steamrolled the Big 10 so far this tourney 17-3 although Mich has the only win 1-0 over ND at Mich.

NC gave UCLA its only loss this season in Sept.. I'll take the home team NC 2-1

BC v Fla state met this year with F.state winning 4-3 both teams have taken care of business so far, BC on an away site so that may bode well for them. FS has a roster full of foreign players so they are away also. hmmmm how about FSU in OT or a shootout, I see a lot of goals here

Va Tech/Duke, they tied 1-1 in the reg season at duke, ill take the home team again VT 2-1

UCLA athleticism is off the charts, and for some strange reason UVA chose to press UCLA higher second half which opened the game up and gave the UCLA horses room to run. UVA got tired and the superior speed and fitness of UCLA had them take over the second half. Amazing game. Track stars and a phenomenal defense with mediocre skill vs possession and top notch skill, but mediocre athleticism. Both teams fun to watch! UCLA speed with the ball was incredible! Any kid playing outside back should watch this game to see the cafu impression put on by UCLA's right back. But for me UVA is the best technical team I've seen this year...just let down by tactics and lack of fitness.

Contrast that with the atrocious va tech kick and run / thug soccer on display against Florida State. Va Tech is proof positive mauling your opponent all over the field while sending long balls to a fast fwd does work at the top levels of women's soccer. That  style requires a
complicit referee, and for the sake of the women's game college refs need to move to a more international standard and cut down on some of this hooliganism.

Should be a good final tomorrow, but I don't think fl.st has the athletes or style of play to keep pace with UCLA.
