Oh, come on now, picking on rec parents is like RASE playing against '04 girls...  

This is like RASE playing against the boys... a 50/50 chance of a fair fight and a MUCH more intersting match to watch...

The Hate…well most of us that have been around NTX see LP for what it largely is….an excellent volume based local team revenue generating academy model- with only a hand full of good coaches and an unproven select model-that has little chance of becoming an ECNL member. Does that create hate? No it just makes most of the parents with a good understanding of NTX not want their DD playing for LP (unless it for one of the few talented coaches like LW).

What creates the hate as you call it…IMHO the hate is self imposed by posters like you and even worse some of the LP coaches that have proven themselves classless on this forum.

hmm not sure i agree. what i see is an old boys network of greedy self serving twits who resent LP coming along and building a successful club...

and by the way, coaches in NTX are in a revolving door from club to club despite what this poster thinks...

ah there we go now we have is. None of the fake hah hah, thats a funny joke. It only took a few post to bring out your true intentions. Let the hate and your personal issues flow. Your LP business model sounds like NTX soccer and in fact sounds like the ECNL itself. They are all volume based revenue generating models. So I guess LP's sin in your eyes is that they have been successful at it. ECNL is done solely as an advertisment for the member clubs. I sell it to wide eyed parents of kids well before the ECNL age. Come spend your money with me because I have an ECNL team that your DD can be a part of. All the while they know that there will be open practices and they will take the best girls they can get their hands on regardless of where they came from. In fact if the coach is any good he already recognizes most of the girls who will never make the ECNL. Will he tell the parents? No! They still have good money to fleece. So most parents with a good "understanding" realize that you don't play for a club, you play for a team and coach. They realize there are far more bad coaches than there are good in NTX. And more than any club, they care about their DD and her learning the game she apparently loves

I would be very interested to know EXACTLY what I posted that created your particular hate? Not sure I can help you with your LP issues but somehow I get the feeling you are transfering those onto me.

Funny thread. A lot of what has been posted, though, applies to MANY select teams I've encountered. Nevertheless, fair is fair. Here are a few others that I can think of off the top of my head:

If your daughter actually has the time and energy to play two sports at once... you might be a rec parent,

If your daughter has not yet been diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatters, Sever's, Crepitus, or any other over-use injury... you might be a rec parent,

If you don't know the names of the best orthopedic doctors off-hand, ... you might be a rec parent,

If you actually have significant money put away in a 529 plan instead of hoping beyond hope that your daughter will one day earn a college soccer scholarship... you might be a rec parent,

If you think parents who spend all their vacations in the heat, cold, wind, and rain of yet another tournament must surely have some screws loose, ... you might be a rec parent,

If you've never given your daughter a speech about her poor play via the rearview mirror on the car ride home, ... you might be a rec parent,

If your daughter plays for a coach whose primary source of income is not made by telling little girls what to do on a soccer field, ... you might be a rec parent.

I could go on and on. This is a great thread.

My dd's have been 'guest' players many times over the years, but never have figured out what a 'guess' player is?

If you worry about the TEAM. i.e. building the team, improving the team and team results rather than your DD's development and happiness. That is unless you also happen to be the coach.

"Not in the middle!"
