Shame coaches have to resort to this because their core team can't seem to keep up.

Right?! Looks like Sting Richardson has been winning or pulling a draw against stronger teams by using SEVERAL other players. I would not be happy if it were my DD being replaced just to get a better result. CPP is being used by a number of teams in D1 just for an advantage.

unfortunately the coaches could care less, staying in d1 is far more important than your feelings...

Well, until the rule changes to reflect "only for players who are playing up" i.e., an 01 player helping out an 00 team and Not an ECNL player playing on a D1 team or a D1 player playing down for a D2 team, this will continue. However, do we know if they are using multiple players per game (which is against the rules as they stand)? Would one CPP make that difference?

And I do believe that both goals scored by SW-R was scored by a SW-R roster-core player.

It's my understanding that SWR had no CPP against SF. Late request for CPP was denied.

per LGCHL rules as InaB notes above:

b. In the final three League games of the Soccer Year, A Receiving Team may include 1 Club Pass Player on their Game Day Roster. Should the addition of Club Pass Player(s) cause the Receiving Team to exceed their Game Day Roster maximum, the Receiving Team must remove the appropriate number of their rostered Players to comply with the Receiving Team’s Game Day Roster limit.

OK, so don't shoot the person asking questions here.   Very Happy

Well, I do wonder what the difference is between Sting Richardson and Sting Flanagan for the spring. Sting Richardson was beaten by Flanagan 6-2 in the fall and then beats Flanagan 2-0 in the spring. Stranger things have happened. However, it is odd. I mean Flanagan (at least right now) is in third place and loses to their sister team in last place. Sting North Garrett beats Flanagan 1-0 this spring after losing 2-1 in the fall.

So what does this mean?

1.  Does it mean that Richardson and Garrett have greatly improved since the fall?

2.  Does it mean that they have been able to use CPP (perhaps not this past weekend) to improve?

3.  Does it mean that sister teams have taken steps to keep all Sting teams in D1 by graciously losing (since non-Sting teams haven't been that obliging)?

Should be interesting to see how the last few games go.

Edited one time for grammatical error (Yikes)

Ok. Only reason I ask is I am of a different thought on that. Unless there is a major gap in level of play, one player IMO doesn't change the game in LHGCL unless she's the top .005% elite.

If "Team A" is already good enough to beat "Team B" 3 or 4 to 0, then I can see an added stud forward dominating and making the game go to 7 or 8 to 0.... But in any other situation, 1 player does not make much of a difference.

Sting N has not had any CPP help this year

I would be shocked if any club team did this. Sister teams or not.

Ok. But you still haven't provided a reason for your opinion. I think soccersounder had quality input. I would like another perspective, that's all.

I would like to know how the CPP rule was passed. Board vote? Club vote? Coaches vote? Who takes responsibility for it. And what steps do you have to take to get rid of it? Who's idea was it? What club affiliation do they have? Who voted yes? Who voted no? What happen the first half of the season that deemed it necessary to change the staus quo? A little transparency would be nice. It's very easy to flip through the rules and copy and paste them on here (No disrespect). I would just like to know who was sitting at home when the light bulb went off in their head with the idea to create a rule that would give an unfair advantage to certain clubs?

The LH board wrote the rule, had a meeting inviting all clubs and coaches, and approved it after. My understanding, anyways.
