It kinda sucks when teams register for a tourney then pull out, or better yet, just ghost everybody.. There should be asterisks placed in the point column..

Were there a total of 2 teams in gold that pulled a no show?

What's the problem on De facto #1 scraping by tournament missing 3 of top 4 04 teams?

New girls not in sync? Grass too tall? Referees have kryptonite whistles? He'll freezing over?

No problem...
Just wasn't expected...

We were expecting a massacre and got an assault
We were expecting a 35 and got 5
We are in essence... disappointed but indeed grateful.
We are now hopeful and not wishful...optimist and not pessimist.

Teams now are like "bring on de-facto"

If you say so. Its not like Tx Spirit or DT Scott wouldn't have similar success on these teams if not more without keeper touching ball.

You can't go by the scores. You have to see the games.

Especially after abandoning the 04 class for a whole year on a high horse playing boys...

Like I said...just expected more...
But at the same time...they can hand LFS their tails tomorrow like last year and they'll be back in stride... To me, that win last year was signature and what sent them in that direction...

That's if LFS makes it pass Sting Diaz...after all... They tied 04 Kicks....

Take the hope out and avoid it...tell the girls play hard and rewrite what has been written... Make RASE #1 and not the defacto...lol

Truth is LFS will beat Diaz, Sting has way too many problems, team is done - way too much drama going on there. LFS can beat RASE. RASE is just perception at this point. RASE is not the team it used to be. Period.

Now if RASE ties or loses to LFS there will trouble in that camp....

Still either way, LFS lost last to both TX Spirit and DT South so lets all keep that in mind after tomorrow's game when applying DeFacto status.

Oh and fyi, SRSA was destroying teams out of top 2 this time last year.

Rase is fine. Scored 3 and it was keeper on the field defenders forward mix it up time. Everyone has played at least half the game and plenty of time in various positions no goals against and they won. So far not a bad weekend. As much as you guys or maybe even some of the rase parents would love to come in and run the score up it just doesn't seem to be a concern of the coach. And none of us run the team, he does. I think RASE will come out no goals against and about the same number of goals for in the rest of the game. Funny thing is you guys are blasting a team for NOT running the score up

I think a lot of people fail to see the big picture.

They were just waiting for the team to fail to live up to an expectation that the coach just will not do. Look thru the history of this team other than an odd game or two he has never run the scores up.

You make it sound like they could have run the score up more if they wanted to, they just chose not to.  

They never pulled their goalie in the LFS game.  I saw the RASE goalie punt the ball a few times so she must have used her hands at some point.  And to claim LW doesn't care when he was putting starters back in at the end . . .

Certainly not trying to imply LFS should have won.  But the LFS goalie only had to make half a dozen saves, and most of those were rollers.  Sure, a few nice shots missed the goal, but total shots between the posts was less than 10.

People blame the score on the "offside trap" played simultaneously with the "parked bus."    

You can't play the offside trap if the ball is always in your own defensive third, as some have claimed.

And apparently, if their team was playing RASE, and the ball were in their defensive third, they would still expect their midfielders to play forward and not help to defend.

So - RASE couldn't score because of the offside trap?  So wouldn't that make the trap successfully run by the LFS girls?  Great for them!  Last time I checked, minimizing goals against in a game was a good strategy.

RASE played some great soccer - but the LFS girls worked hard and should be applauded for their effort.  They attacked every ball, pressured the RASE girls, and never backed down.  Their aggressive play substantially limited RASE's ability to get off good shots.

Sure - the LFS parents were excited that their girls work hard and were rewarded for their efforts - #19 held #1 to a 2-0 win.  Sad thing was, after their 10-year-old daughters worked equally hard to get the win, not too much cheering or congratulations from the RASE side.
