Their whole team is pretty good, but they do have one player who stands out above the rest IMO. And not just because she is more imposing physically (which she is). She also is a very cool character under pressure. I saw LFS play a decent boys team in the ACES tourney, while playing CB (also seen her play other positions) and while they were bringing some speed and pressure, she never seemed rattled.No doubt RASE will bring the pressure more pressure. It will be interesting to see how she does and the team does.

So why did Dalglish pull out? Will LFC not allow them to play RASE? Is there not a coach that can step in for one game?

There were a bunch of talk about RASE not playing 04 girls and their de-facto #1 status. Let's see who steps their game up; how many haters will show, and how many new fans will be created. I hope all teams bring thier "A" game. I will personally be watching. Just like good soccer overall.

Nothing on this site is that important but every other top team gets raked over the coals for not attending this tournament or that tournament so I'm simply asking why cancel so late? Since they're coached by the same person he obviously understood the two teams might meet. Did moving one to the other tournament allow for more roster flexibility?

Funny, roster flexibility!! They will play in due time.  No need to rush.  In the meanwhile, best to worry about your team(s) getting ready for QT.  Just my take.

I asked where spirit are hiding but not the other accusations. If you look at my old posts I've always been an admirer of JK and MM as coaches but I can't defend JK anymore. Of course you're not an LFS parent so it doesn't matter to you right? You are full of it LFS parent! I can guarantee you that Dalglish and RASE do not share any players with eachother. Maybe you will wish you had ducked RASE on Sunday night?

no idea why Dalglish changed tournaments. Maybe a coach doesnt want to coach against himself assuming both teams made it to the final (good problem to have). It would be much easier if one team could win a tournament (lfs black) but the other could not (lfs white). But in this case Dalglish is more than capable of winning tournaments. I believe RASE was supposed to be in boys 04 and Dalglish was in girls 04. For whatever reason it was changed and the coach made changes he thought were best for whatever reason. Also to clarify Dalglish does not use RASE players. There have been girls that have gone from dalglish to RASE and girls that have gone the other way but it has never been a case of sharing players. Oh I hope the LFS stud is okay. They are a solid well rounded team but she will be a big hole to fill (i guess better hurt now so you can be back by qualifying).

There were no accusations, many clubs play around with rosters around this time, having girls guest on other teams to help development. In fact this would be a fine reason for pulling one team out of a tournament. There's also no shame in not wanting the two teams facing each other some clubs do some don't. I was just wondering what happened.

Oh...and if it helps you sleep thinking I'm an LFS parent then that's fine. Sometimes it's hard letting go. I also won't tell you that there's no Santa or Easter Bunny.

Dalglish registered for 2 tournaments at once - waiting to see what the competition was. They knew at the time RASE was registering for Primetime. They saw the other competition - and ran to an easier tournament.

I wouldn't be so naïve and act as though Dalglish isn't a TOP 5 team. Don't lean so much on FBR rankings to discredit them. We all know what the RASE vs. Dalglish outcome would likely be like and so does the coach and parents probably. Why even create that awkward situation if you were LW? Anyone that thinks they are running just check your history and be realistic in knowing it would have been LW v. LW in finals most likely...no slight to LFS though.

Never said they weren't - but I guess we will not know the Dalglish v. LFS outcome becasue they bailed.  Simply put, they left a tournamnet that had 4 top 10 teams for a tournament that has . . . none.  It appears LFS has 2 teams entered - didn't seem to bother them that they might meet.
