But the reality is LFS Black didn't come out and fight. They crossed the midline just once or twice in the first period. The RASE keeper didn't touch the ball even once.
In the second half LFS gave it a shot but, apart from a couple of attacks, it was more of the same.
This is why RASE has been playing against boys these past 2 years. From what I've seen, the boys coaches will try and bring it. Not sure how a whole year spent trying to get though a wall every weekend is going to help the RASE girls.

U are mistaken...the FBR doesn't "say" anything...it's calculated not opinionated...
RASE is still tops and even #1 TX spirit knows that...
Prime example #1 has lost to #4 twice in 5/6 months but due to calculations they remain #1...

Lobo.... You obviously weren't at game or don't know soccer. Like Go said, LFS Black came out in fought. Esp in 2nd half. They just had trouble playing their game against a great midfield of RASE.

I didn't watch any of the games this weekend but if I was to make an educated guess, I would be willing to bet most of the games RASE played were spent with RASE in the attacking 1/3 of the field trying to work the ball around the opposing team trying to get a decent shot off with the occasional bad pass that was intercepted and booted back into the RASE defending half which they regained possession of and worked it back into the attacking 1/3 to repeat...

I agree with Lobo. The LFS girls did not fight the first half. I think RASE has a mystique that really plays a great head game - it's mental for these girls. Second half they gave RASE a better game. Other than the RASE goalie making a great save there really wasn't a wow moment.

First half was kind of repetitious but effective... On point...
But second half was different.... Just different. I think LFS likes their chances in a rematch.

LFS black came to play the whole game. they struggled to get out of their own end but it wasn't because of mystic or lack of effort. second half was different because of substitutions period not because of anything LFS did different. I don't really think anybody is looking towards spirit sorry. They will finish outside of the top 3 and possibly out of the top 5. but hey miht as well put it on your website while you can

The best thing TX Spirit did to help themselves in the rankings was not play against RASE this weekend. Anyone who saw the games this weekend would agree that just because an alogrythm (that doesn't take into account what RASE has done the past year) says they are #2 to TX Spirit- doens't make it so.

I've seen RASE...TX Spirit is no RASE.

To that point, BTW- I would have expected more people to be there to watch the LFS-RASE game. It was a great match.
