I know it is that time of year and there is nothing wrong posting that  your team looking for players. I just wonder when it is done every day if that is not a detriment to your cause as it can look desperate.

Does it mean teams are looking for new players at an "open practice" to replace or kick off existing roster players before signing? Does that happen?

Yes and yes, these are desperate times for all these clubs and coaches. Anyone in NTX can coach soccer at the youth level. Hell anyone can start a club in NTX. It's a shame that we as parents have created this bye moving to different teams to get what you want. If what you want is not found then move again and if not satisfied at this point just create your own team put up a website call it bs soccer elite begin to post open tryouts in hopes you will find some sucker to sign a contract for a youth player to hold them for a full year paying you money. This has created a system where coaches and clubs will lie cheat and do what ever to get your money.

Its a fine line for teams looking for players and looking absolutely desperate by posting multiple times a day!
The posts that always gets me are......"great turnout and fantastic players last night, we are still having open practices on Thursday." Well if you had a lot of great players out at practice then why are you still advertising!
I think post every 3-4 days is healthy but post twice a day = desparation

It's all mostly bull. I've seen the hourly posts from full teams and at least 1-d1 03 team hardly posting but for fact have 6 girls rotating through tryouts.

I love the coaches who uses free enterprise to find a way to bring free publicity to their team by using their teams logo as their avatar and then posting all over this blog as a back handed way of drawing attention to said club.

Well I for one have 5 years of coaching on my resume...sassy cats...you might of heard of them, it's a household name. Taught those kids to kick the ball far run fast and play hard. I think I might just dip my toes in the club side. Keep seeing my game plan knocked off in select.

Pink Ponies Open Sessions everyday until July 1 because that's how much our girls love soccer. I want to send a congratulations for our most recent tournament championship (3rd week in a row) at Super Duper Summer Heatwave Invitational.

Great core group that is rounding out our roster for upcoming QT.

We are looking for a Goalie, Centerbacks, Outsidebacks, Holding Mids, Wingers, Attacking Mid, Forwards.

You forgot to get the parents' attention by pronouncing that you are aiming for LHGCL this fall (even though you girls didn't even finish in the top two of PPL D2.  Or D3 or D4, whatever). That always gets 'em.

Pull up the the ponie link for a great laugh....hilarious. What's even better is the sassy cats were a household name. Gonna have to get that group back together and charge the parents $3k a year for my leadership. Go...go...get it and go...boot it...I still got it.
