05 JDL

Unless your special child is hand picked for the inclusive circle of friends I would recommend a club that doesn't have JDL. I'm so glad my kid got to play in LH this year instead sitting on the bench. I saw too many of my old pals kids being benched by player pass and guest...just ask all the experts who are pumping the propoganda. The slate is clean in the fall again we will see the same players every weekend...now we know why NTX except for the top 4 or 5 teams is fantasy land.....new coach's new players maybe people will figure it out sooner than later....

Unless you get to play in JDL you are just another sucker from the hood. Lots of people have money to burn....

All clubs in LHGCL are using player CPP. Here a novel thought, how about working and helping your DD improve her game so that just maybe she is the one leading her team from the field not the bench. Just because you pay or don't pay does not guarantee your spot on the field.

Man this is everywhere you go! If you think that your going to go hide in a small club or an independent from favoritism, bias, and money. Pull your head out of the sand and start working with the one thing you can control. Your DD's improvement!

no one from what I can tell is saying anything about running scared or blaming others, although you keep saying that, on multiple threads, so it must be somewhere deep inside you and on a personal level must affect you or your DD. pulling my head out of the sand, I believe most, except for you, are saying the same thing which is JDL and LH are equal and the lies that are being referenced to is that the development of players is supposed to be the main focus for JDL, that is a lie, the focus is and always will be winning and if you understand that then you understand north texas soccer.

It seems this is not the case for all involved. Ones experience is not others experiences and does not speak for the masses. Hence control what you can as a parent. Your DD improvement within the game. Skills, futsal, fun, and encouragement.

Hey Boys --

You should certainly expect development to occur in a league that has 'development' in the title ... Furthermore, you should expect development every time your kid touches a ball -- purty simple stuff.  

Everything you guys have written today support my contention regarding the black and white difference between the 'haves' on this forum (Those that have had generally positive experiences which are likely due to playing with great teams and coaches), and the 'have nots' (The malcontents that haven't had the same fortune ... Those that seem to have been beaten down by the 'system', and are convinced that they've been lied to or misdirected ... The ones that consistently spew negativity and assume that the big clubs are greedily conspiring against us all).  

And I'm having a tough time with your notion that JDL is equal to LHGCL.  The JDL offers more consistent play against top competition and this will be further fortified next year.  Even Rush and Kicks are now taking advantage.  Next year onward, LHGCL is an afterthought ... With the absence of the bigs top 2 in each age group, Rush, Kicks, and likely LP Elite, your left with a glorified recreational league.  Again ... purty simple stuff.

For the other 99% of us, we can afford the extra $200-$300/month to have our kids follow their passion and dreams ... just might have to give up the morning Starbucks, 4G LTE data, or a couple movie channels.

Bigern, my comment that JDL=LH was made using this logic. There is a clear # 1 - DTS, but they moved up to '04 in the spring. Beyond that it's debatable but Kicks until now hasn't played in JDL. After that there is some argument about who fills out the top 5. A couple of those teams are in JDL a couple aren't. From there approximately 5-15 probably have some sort of rank order but all/most are competitive. So I agree to extent that JDL offers more consistent top level competition but it's really not as simple as that. Having 2 leagues has watered down both to a point where only the bottom of LH does not belong. Otherwise, week in and out games are more or less competitive. I've seen plenty of games in both leagues to know this is a fact.

What it comes down to with either direction you go is about the coach. Really doesn't matter what league you are in. Is the coach doing all the say they will do and all they should be doing. And perhaps a side preference of whether you like competing for something week in and week out (LH) or not (JDL)
