That's funny. Reminds me of a tournament where my dd's team was about to play for the championship. One of the dad's (a big dude) came storming toward me on the sideline, eyes bulging, veins in his neck about to explode and demanded, "are you ready?"....LOL I said, "I didn't know I was playing?"...seriously, though, we found over the years that those who had some athletic success of their own were much more likely to keep things in perspective...

These comments are true. SDL 03 is no question tougher than EAL 03 Silver and EAL 04. Fever and Juventus are top 10 03 teams. FWFC is probably top 15. Again, this is not the fault of FS05. I appreciate his work.

I wouldn't say it's a conspiracy but it does show the voting population is mostly from Liverpool. The other factor may be that the 04 parents don't know much about the 03 teams aside from SRSA and DTS. I enjoy looking at the rankings but human rankings are probably more accurate at this point until many seasons and tournaments have passed and the methodology is ironed out. I will say it's a good place to start and keep up the good work.

I have an 05 dd and I am looking for an academy team to put her on and yes she is a solid player that could and probably should be on a top 05 or even 04 team but the more I see how this academy thing is and how people will do and say anything to boost there club, the less I want to be apart of it.

Food for thought. How ironic would it be if it came to light that the person creating the rankings was a coach of an academy club....wow....would anyone even care?

Everyone knows you are with DT North Deloen (Texas Black Gold). You are either the coach of that team or a "wheels off" parent that the coach should get control of. Your team now holds the title of "most ridiculous 04 team in DFW"

What position does dd play? And which 04 teams does she go back and forth on? If you can't answer these questions than you are the one that is spreading bs and lies....not the LP parents. So enlighten us with your LP knowledge! I have a feeling you won't be able to answer any of these questions.

I don't think friscoS or any of the others you mentioned created the ranking system and it will be here long after they are gone. It is supposed to be a little mindless fun and it counts for absolutely nothing. I will take you at your word Suspect

if you have an 05 then put her on a 05 team and if she is really good then also play her up with the 04's. But if you chose a team based on it's ranking on the board then you have already done your dd a disservice. Watch how the teams play. See the coaches attutude and that of the girls. Check out the practices and see whats being taught. Looks for the smiles in the games and practices. Are the girls learning, using skills and having fun. Skills and learning to love the game are the most important things at this age. If your DD continues to play at high level she will have to sacrifice so many things. It will be her love of the game that carry her thru not her academy teams ranking. FYI I finally managed to get 1 liverpool t-shirt (my body rejected it by getting too fat for it) Go ManU

OK, folks. The personal attacks and name calling needs to stop or I will be forced to lock threads down and ban users (and any aliases they use since the forum tracks all user IDs to static IP addresses). So if all you want to do is start a fight and attempt to disparage 7-8 year old girls, or coaches, or clubs you need to find somewhere else to do that. The 04 group has always found a way to be passionate but also civil to one another and as long as I'm the moderator that will remain.

So let's get back on track, take a deep breath, and enjoy spring break with our kiddos.
