With all the love potions advertised on the foum today will it rub off on the comments?

I was wondering what all thought of the penalty of sitting the next game after a red card. Even for non contact offenses. A no call/yellow card that injures someone gets no additional penalty.

This is exactly why I am an avid supporter of helmets in youth soccer. To be precise, I think all the girls should be wearing full facemask, football style helmets. It's really sad when girls are getting concussions on the soccer field. Teams are getting so much stronger and faster, at a much younger age, and it's leading to some very serious injuries. I think we should start a petition to enforce mandatory safety equipment for all players. Who's with me?

If we start using helmets it will become football. Football already has its own issues with concussions.
North texas soccer is just like everything else, its all about the bottom dollar. We throw kids from division to division like jigsaw puzzles. The purpose of a division is to keep the different playing levels as close to equal as possible. If you're not going to let a team progress at its own pace, why have the divisions. When a team is thrown from division b-a the kids get frustrated trying to keep up at that level and they play rougher than they normally would. You cant blame the kids because we did it to them. I will not let my daughter guest play or player pass down in the lower divisions because I dont want her getting injured by a frustrated player.
Soccer is a very competitive sport, tempers can get the better of players and parents. I think most coaches or refs can control the environment of a game in the first 10 minutes. If a ref has to give out a yellow or red in the first 5 minutes, so be it. Something needs to be done or itll keep getting worse.
